Now that RWT issue has been dealt with id like to see more of the limits lifted and likely see few ideas implemented.

  1. Bazaar type system added to GE. People post their offers. All items you want. Set price to all items. Lets say 30 different items, lets say massive bulk and set a price.

John searches in bazaar section for Rune Bars. Finds ‘Jack’s bazaar. Enters the page and sees all Jacks posts. Live quantities and live prices.

  1. The g.e limit invites people to search outside of g.e and g.e taxation. Not always in best interest in g.e, buyer nor seller. So who’s interest theyre serving? Double xp weekend coming up people have to start buying up stuff 3 weeks ahead to get all uncut gems in line or pay premium price later. Either triple all limits or lose them, get rid of them.

Price manipulation happens regardless of limits. Yeah weaponry can have 2 limit but supplies/runes? they fluctuate regardless of limits. Cash should be burned, supplies should be pricy because cash has become worthless. Market should be alive going up and down, be interesting to work with. Limits hold market stagnant and unappealing. If theres issue of having monopolies, raise limits to 3x current limits at least because those limits are way too low for everything.

  1. Market value isnt taking into account volume nor actual trends. Its not transparent and gives wrong ideas of actual value of items and are constantly exploited both ways. G.e should be anonymous but should see list of offers available stock on each price. It shouldnt be trial and error when trying to decide if item price is right.

  2. Market value history should be accessable from trade page not having to go out to wiki or equivalent. Leaving rs app in iOS is not an option because have to load the world again after being out of RS app for longer than 5 seconds.

  3. transaction history is of howmany limited amount is not enough, i can fill this in 3 minutes and cannot track what price i paid, which is highly annoying.

And coming back to the idea of instant-sell idea, bazaars with offers to buy would serve as insta-sell and wished upon prices if the buyer is there and limits are lifted.

Runescape assisted item sink-for-cash is bad idea. Cant tie this to market price, this would never let prices of items drop. People would rather lose whatever even 20% tax but wouldnt let price drop. What insentive is to sell for less than current market value. This drives inflation which has no cure in rs already.

Market buy-sell transactions are met by demand. Game mechanics such as item sinks should drive the demand not show easy ways out by game buying out peoples items. Add incentive for people to use up extra 10 million ores, bars, runes per hour to boost economy. You are only inserting cash, loot and this keeps everything expensive and cash worthless 🙂

Also the 2% tax system doesnt do anything good.

If you want to curr economy you have to make few adjustments.

  1. You have data of how many items are available overall.
  2. You have data how many are added per day
  3. You have data how many are burned per day
  4. You have idea how many are idle (offline/banned/collected to bank)

Maybe tax tier system would be better. Higher end /high-xp/rares items higher tax and lower tier items lower tax. And they should global through trade and g.e. If g.e tax is there for cash burning, its not doing sufficient job in my eyes. Unpopular view but economy could be better in the game. Maybe fixed+weekly fluctuating tax. Not saying it would exceed the 2% always, could come even lower, but works like EURIBOR in way to even out inflation. Maybe doesnt work on practice but worth a thought:)

What I definitely do not want is to have to take 20 minutes parsing through tons of individual sell orders from individual sellers trying to scrape together the amount of supplies I need at my desired price. The thing the current GE has going for it is that it does most of the work for me. If we go to a system where each individual player has to understand the economy of hundreds (thousands?) of separate items and then have to go find enough individual buys to meet their needs for each item its going to feel really yucky. Average Joe Gamer who spends 1-2 hours a day playing after work is going to hang up his hat real quick if it takes half his play time just trying to buy enough food and runes for his slayer task.

i think the way your understanding the auction house system is way overcomplicated over how it actually functions. merchers have the capacity to do what youre talking about and they will and it will be fun for them because they will spend time flipping items making 5-10% profit playing a long game but a simple buy at or below X price is the function youre talking about at thats built in to every auction house in every game ive ever played that has one. some postings will be entirely used up in the autobuy and others will be partial just like it is now.

If that how it works then great.

This would be added not replacing current system, and you could sort by price, quantity. Filter. Just a way of making sure you have overview if you want to do decisions by seeing all available stock in GE 🙂

Definitely would like more buy limit’s and more favorites, i read a little bit but the right click modify would be cool (yes i know you can edit offers but it’s kinda buggy as it is rn) seeing the actual tax and actual market volumes would be nice too Jagex do your thing
