GWD gives you tier 75 gear. If you are using t70 gear, outside of Kril, it's basically not doable in a realistic amount of time. With full royal D Hide and a vanquish I was able to get exactly 1 Kree kill before I ran out of food. So I have to go get the 40 KC, go kill Kree once, and then repeat.. that is just not feasible. Starting the game it is fun to do a progression path to what it's "meant" to be. Aka not skipping gwd and going straight to gwd2, etc, but that is almost not an option at all in the current state. I think 5-10 KC per trip is completely fair to expect when you have to get KC to do something.

Its perfectly doable with t60-70 gear. The only reason you would be using a full inventory of food is if you are dealing such low damage that you fall into a food loop and lose all your adren.
and have proper ability bar
ngl thats a you issue
im using t75 weapons with 100% accuracy against kree and it does so much damage that by the time i kill it ive used most of the food
it's not a skill issue, there's no skill to the boss.
pray range and wait
kite him dont just stand
it uses ranged....
Use necro. Kree ez.
so instead of making it so that all combat styles (barring melee) can feasibly do the boss, you should just use the one overpowered one. got it
Yes
2 Things:
-
The primary goal of the new combat beta was to fix the progression curve of the 3 classic combat styles to be more on-par with necromancy; I think on Monday you'll be happy to see ranged at the mid-tiers will feel a lot more punchy.

Unsolicited advice; but when I was running a new ranged focused account recently for the GIM, Onyx bolts(e), vamp aura, + a bunyip kept me very alive for Kree at around your levels.
Don't let the other commentors get you down; you're not wrong, mid-tier ranged sucks and feels bad. Jagex is literally a week away from hopefully fixing it so that we move away from "just use necro" being the default answer for lv40-90.
that's a good point about the combat style changes, i'm excited for that. i don't have vamp aura unfortunately, i could grind towards a bunyip. i appreciate your thoughts
what crossbow do you use with the onyx bolts?
I used the two Armadyl crossbows; but if you have access to a royal crossbow that'd work even better
gotcha, i could try to get royal (or maybe try zilly? not sure how it is compared to kree yet)
ive heard its similar in "difficulty"
Assuming your an iron man, I'd advise learning QBD and going for royal. Drop rates are decent and there's no annoying kill count requirement.
i'll look into that, i appreciate it
Happy to help! gl and happy scaping!
I don't understand how people have an issue with this suggestion. given the low-level non-necro strat for kree is to walk him (which is super-shitty, as is getting kc), I think finding a way to fix kree in particular is important
have content be fun at the right level and disincentivise people afking it for thousands of kills
we could, pretty unironically, do with a "rework every boss older than KK" pass
Wouldent be a bad idea. Alot of bosses could do with some work.
Add in some qol that things like sanctum and amascut have added.
Ground markers, ect.
yeah i was honestly shocked at the negative responses, just seems like a change that should happen. especially with needing KC to get in, it makes it paaaain
i think maybe people don't remember how bad it is with normal gear
I'm pretty sure I got my first KC on Kree with a Cbow and royal D'hide
I think the hard part was getting the KC without losing food so I could go in with reasonable amounts of food... and doing that fast enough for my terrorbird to stick around
id honestly love to see all of GWD1 reworked into bosses with actual mechanics without being as rough around the edges as their existing hardmodes are
esp since gwd1 uniques are HEAVILY brought down by people afking the bosses
requiring player engagement in the fights (as well as them being more lenient towards lower levelled players) would be a huge boon for the content
coupled with a boosted drop table ofc
