They did more harm than anything.
Any "good" they did was both overshadowed by the bad and mostly just people gambling.

Who says the community needs to log on at a specific time each day? Why not focus on making actual continuous content to encourage people to stay on rather than once a day then log off?

One of the big reasons all this is happening is so people can play on there own time and not feel like they have to log in daily or fall behind

That defeats the entire purpose of the dailyscape removal.
Daily stuff is being removed for a reason.

The daily stuff is slated for removal to.
It bad for the game.
They arent going to add more daily stuff.

#

Daily challenges are being removed to. They are part of the dailys.

#

If thats what gets you to quit then you didnt like the game in the first place. Just the free stuff.

#

What are you going on about?

Sir I think it's time for you to find a new game....

for those that need help know the best time to log in to the game
The best time to log in to the game is whenever you want to play ๐Ÿค” Not having 'log in or miss out' FOMO is nice. I've played more other games without any guilt or worry about missing a day's worth of keys or challenges.

On a side note, I clicked into this thread thinking that an in-game bridge was removed with the refresh lumbridge project or something and was curious ๐Ÿ˜…

How is dailyscape related to the community as a whole

In my experience the removal of TH and dailyscape are bringing back both lapsed players and I've also invited some of my friends from other MMOs and communities as BRAND NEW players to come give rs3 a shot because they felt reluctant or appalled at TH, plenty of brand new players are popping up in the various help channels as well

Jagex is also working on and listening to feedback, literally evidenced by the recent thieving changes they did and are tweaking things based on constructive criticism

Plenty of other games don't have nowhere near as much dailyscape pressure as rs3 does and are still doing fine welcoming new and old players everyday

I think the solution to this is using asynchronous participation going forward in design and redesigns. Things that require spontaneity now due to server load could be redesigned, like sinkholes or divine location capping

#

for instance an area in fort Forinthry that allows you to place a divine location which works more like the pillars in Kharid-et, people use their locations at the 'pillar' and share it across worlds as a resource rather than a pop-up node

#

eliminating the time sensitive element

#

so the 2007scape subreddit and the viewership on twitch are also all bots?

#

Even if you account for 70% of 220k players being bots or alts there's still 60,000-70,000 legitimate players
