#Remastered Content - What do you want to see remastered?
1 messages · Page 2 of 1
also it's a bit jarring to see 0's left as is as something to continue solving, minesweeper applications typically fill an opening until all spaces are numbered
for example going to the minesweeper subreddit and just looking at a board someone posted, none of the 0 spaces need to be solved, it's just filled in until the entire perimeter is numbered
i would like goblin raids remastered
Runecrafting Cape's perk. If vis wax is impacted by dailyscape changes, please consider giving us a perk that's more useful for the skill.
the aura removal will also impact the usefulness of vis wax, so the Runecrafting cape perk will be devalued unless vis wax is given new uses
I think that was their point, the value of the perk gets reduced if vis wax usages change, therefore new perk with a proper benefit would be nice
Although frankly, Remastering a majority of the cape effects to have more relevance in current day would be nice
As a random thought off the top of my head, Firemaking could be changed to "Grants access to a Bonfire boost"
I'm not disagreeing with them at all, just pointing out that vis wax will be affected regardless of whether the DailyScape changes affect Daily Challenges
Ah right, fairs. I read their thing and assumed they'd mentioned auras too 😂
clarification for those who don't know Minesweeper terminology: an "opening" is a contiguous group (connected by touching) of one or more 0s, and almost every Minesweeper implementation will reveal an entire opening at once simply because a 0 means you can reveal all adjacent spaces and that will cascade into the rest of the 0s in the same opening
On the subject of minigames, some minigames could benefit from needing fewer people to start / being allowed to solo them, especially where we now have the power to do so.
For example, I've tried to do Pest Control with friends and been blocked by not having 5 people at once, so eventually we left. But if we could start a game with any number of people, then I could go in with my friends, maybe someone else would hop in intending to solo and see us, ... Just removing the expectation that a critical mass of players is both necessary to start and likely to fail would go some way towards bringing more players to the minigame.
fix that one minigame by burh de snot
maybe add pets to the minigames, pet hunters will love that
also that one minigame in canafist where u kick a ball for werewolves?
Temple Trekking is fine? Pets would be cool, and technically that's an agi training method more than a minigame. No idea what its rates are like tho
no no, the other one with the temple that you gotta fix. im sure they can think of something that can help with mid level prayer training maybe? idk just looking at content that doesnt get visisted as often anymore
Oh right, Shades
shades there u go
Yeah updating that could be neat, it's double/triple training method but real incentive to do it
Remaster classic make it a mini game inside of rs3
Remaster of, just to start out, low level NPC drop/loot table to be more modern. there are a lot of outdated loot tables.
Prayer cape has stood out for years as something you never use. 1 We haven’t trained prayer in our houses since powder of burials/chaos altar opt-out. 2 An xp boost on a 99 cape, on a skill that goes to 99, is incredibly stupid (I’m aware it’s going to 120 soon but it should have an actual gameplay benefit at 99). 3 Prayer is one of the prettiest skillcapes (especially the Master variant) but it has absolutely no use so you only buy if you want to immediately keepsake it.
Practice Mode needs reworking. At the very least, copy your character state when you enter a practice mode instance, so your supplies, buffs, equipment degradation/charges, etc. are cloned. When leaving the practice instance or dying, your character state is loaded so the only thing you lost was time.
What would be especially nice would be if you could load a specific phase of a boss to practice (similar to Zuk checkpoints) but that might be more difficult especially for bosses like Zamorak with dynamic phasing.
I would love to see Castle Wars have additional rewards that make it worthwhile to do as a minigame, other than just the tickets that unlock the armors
Seconding this. Im not sure what perk to give it, but the current one isnt great.
reduce prayer drain by 50% or 75% additive
Im instantly throwing that on a max cape, but its def an idea i like
tbh that's the thing, most of the ways to make the combat cape perks "good" would be "Yes please I'll use it always" lol
could this interface not show up when you only have ingredients to make one thing, kinda useless to have to extra click when theres nothing more to choose than one thing. Or atleast make this toggleable.
Darklight should work at K’ril and Twin Furies, or add an upgrade that works at them and is augmentable. The bosses aren’t hard at all in current powercreep and it’s still a t20 weapon even with huge multipliers. The only place it’s used in RS3 is tormented demons, but in OSRS it works on any demon and has upgrades so it’s used in a ton of places.
Keris got an upgrade to work at the hardest boss in the game, I don’t think it’s an issue to allow the Darklight at K’ril and Furies.
Does it Not work on those? It does have an upgrade which afaik puts it as one of the better weapons overall to use when fighting demons
Even with the Dimension of Disaster upgrade it doesn't work on K'ril or Twin Furies. Demon Flash Mob bosses do count but they aren't really farmed by most people anyway, and are extremely punishing to fight with Melee.
Idea: killing 500 Tormented Demons while having the Darklight equipped (and having the Dimension of Disaster upgrade already unlocked) upgrades it to a tier 70 Emberlight and makes it augmentable, similarly to the Primed->Consecrated Keris.
very strange when Kril is qualified as a greater demon for slayer
More Skilling guilds like farming, woodcutting, arch, etc but allow them to have banks to store related items there like all wood types all seed types all arch artifacts damaged and repaired its time to free up the player bank there is no room and we all spend too much time playing around that limit when we can simply do what osrs has already done somewhat
How about a way to reset ou quest progress for quests youre halfway through but havent touched in 10 years
quest replayability would be cool in general for players who want to go back and complete quests in chronological order
I just dont know wherr the items i need or how to get back to some spots and id rather restart it
I joined in 2023. My first major goal was quest cape, but some of the quest lines have rapidly scaling level requirements so it took me months between Plague City and Plague’s End for example. By the time I had the requirements for later quests I’d mostly forgotten what happened in the early ones. I’d support an option to just wipe my quest progress so I can play everything from the beginning, even with no repeat quest rewards (please keep miniquests though I don’t want to charge another 15 engrammeters).
Sliske’s Game would make a great movie if someone here has a job at Hollywood I know this will never happen but a man can dream…
Since I was recently reminded it existed... Mage Training Arena
in theory
a good reason to train runecrafting, a good way to train mage and get some basic t55-60 mage gear for intro bosses and with some theoretically interesting utility that even opens up a reason to not have a bonecrusher breaking every basic bone at all times
in practice, an utterly unreasonable grind
for mid tier basic gear that would literally be easier to get by selling the runes you'd use to do the grind
(well, equivalent gear anyway)
would be neat to make it actually functional again
If the mage training arena was actually useful for low/mid level magic training that'd be great
Put some low tier bosses there too to teach magic stuff as well
the alchemy and enchantment rooms could use a timer somewhere to track the cycles
i could see something like one of the golems switching between magic styles it's weak to working for that
PLEASE increase the bank capacity. We can pay for it like OS but good god is it too low when you're a hoarder like me
Jmod is responding to players and pitching on to increase bank space in the future. Thread for reference: https://discord.com/channels/303835144073248770/1020537530803814445
osrs bank space initial space is 400 while rs3 base without subscription is 180 spaces. RS3 has way more content and item than OSRS.
Niche topic and I don't know how you would fix it properly, but Elvarg requiring the Anti-dragon shield equipped for the quest is, whilst iconic, also very outdated at this point.
Most action bars that people will have set up at that point kinda fall to pieces due to not actually being able to utilize some of their abilities due to 2h/dw requirements.
Can't really think of a good way to suggest that it could be fixed in some fashion whilst keeping it iconic though (Other than just allowing shields to let you perform dw actions still)
Idk if this is content in the sense that you mean it but especially with aura removal the loyalty point store really could use some love
I think this might be something that would be better suited for a shield/defense update/rework?
would prob have to look at this question post-combat update
there might be less abilities that are 2h/dw dependent by then
and the ones that remain will probably not be filler abilities
the previous ranged beta only incend was 2h and nothing was dw
so the cleave/decimate and smash/havoc problems will prob be resolved
Debilitate should be changed. Currently it reduces the damage the target deals to you by half, same as Reflect in single combat except worthless in multi, not even considering the reflected damage. It should be changed to either A. Debilitate gives the 50% damage reduction to the whole group (probably overpowered) or B. Remove Debilitate and give Reflect two charges, and have it scale with shield tier and the Bulwark perk. I would prefer the second option personally.
Plus, removing Debilitate and giving Reflect two charges would help reduce ability bloat like they’ve talked about.
I actually think it's more reflect becoming unbalanced cause of bone shield that's the problem, but I wouldn't mind alternative solutions on the side of debil too
you could do some interesting combining of their effects
Debiliflect
- Halve damage from your current opponent
- If using a shield, this extends to all opponents
- Cooldown reduces based on tier of shield used, or duration extends
They could increase the adrenaline cost instead to something like 25%, so it’s a heavy adrenaline drain in exchange for perpetually half damage taken if you’re going to put it first on your Revo bar. Manual use when necessary would of course result in much higher efficiency.
Lol. These fights are nowhere near hard. If you think they are hard do it in full armour of trials.
dimension of disaster fight isn't hard but it's still kinda annoying
you're forced on sword and board which is kinda ass
It is kinda slow for DPS but shields are crazy strong for survival. Proper defensive use and you can tank basically anything.
Remaster all bosses to have the blue boxes for mechanics new bosses have
Help us that suck at pvm
They are already planning to do that but it’ll probably be a few months before the Jmods are ready.
I dont think they wanna read through all the bickering and comments. Just drop your idea and move along.
-Grouping revamp
-Ability to reset quests
+1
Remaster The Dig Site and specimen cleaning, it is related to "Archaeology" but it is outdate after the real skill is released
https://runescape.wiki/w/Specimen_cleaning
Specimen cleaning is a members-only activity in which players can process and clean samples from the Varrock Dig Site. It takes place on the ground floor of the Varrock Museum, in the partitioned off area at the southern end. Players wishing to participate in the activity must have completed the quest, the Dig Site. Additionally, the player must...
Can Champion Challenges be remastered? Currently we have Elite Monsters and then Champions in Champion Guild. I think this could be some really fun future long term chase goals of adding more viable champs and elite mobs but also deal with the drop rate for the champ scrolls by making a fun reward system. A fresh coat for all the mobs and a fun reward structure with new mobs/npcs would be really unique in the long term.
https://discord.com/channels/303835144073248770/1446202982432510095
would be cool to work into this
There is so much neglected content in the game that I really don't know what should be remastered first
To be honest I like Dungeoneering but I think it needs a different set of updates rather than that design approach. I view the Grouping System and Dungeoneering not having a more semi afk training method in the early portion to be its biggest flaws.
I'd rather Champions become a fun thing as a DnD rather than something tied to progression. Maybe a few early/mid/late game lamps as their reward space depending on the mob but its something more for fun and a chase goal.
At what point do we just start with rs5? (Skipped 2, might as well skip 4)
We didnt skip 2 fwiw
I had to google it, seems there was a 2. Ive been playing since the dark ages. Didnt even notice rs2 happened.
rs2 was the period after rsc (rs1) and before rs3 (roughly around nxt/eoc)
Didn’t even notice it but that was years ago now I probably just don’t remember it. On that note maybe the end of mtx and the coming eoc remaster is a good point to move into rs4
Another thing that we can also add to the Champions Guild is the Quest Caravan. I think the Guild just makes sense that it would also have maybe a wall with all the Questing stuff and that May has set up shop in the Guild.
Please add more stuff to the quest storage too. It would be especially nice if we could reclaim the one-handed Sunspear tip that you get from The Lord of Vampyrium (you can’t reclaim it after you make the 2H hybrid Sunspear during River of Blood). Quest storage already lets you reclaim several mutually exclusive quest items (Silverlight and Darklight at the same time for example) so the Sunspear tip should be reclaimable along with the restored Sunspear.
Also it has probably been mentioned like 5 times in this thread already but please allow Max Cape to access all cape perks. It would probably have one hell of a right click menu but it would be really nice to not need to manage it if I want to change between melee or range for example.
Maybe random, but it would be sweet to be able to assign a main action bar to a bank preset. I'm thinking for things like farm runs to have all your tele items and Lunar Plant Cure and Fertile Soil spells on
Oh that sounds great! An action bar for clues, or for farm runs, or other skilling stuff
Quite a few things that I think would be interesting to see:
More champion scrolls: I think that we had so many new monsters added, that it would be nice to see new champions added to it.
Move the Chaos elemental: I think it's about time they get caged and put in a set place. Bad enough it's surrounded by high level mobs.
Minigame refresh: Mini games like Stealing Creations, Fist of Guthix, Heist (the floating thing outside of faldor). So many things can be added or just removed from those minigames.
Chsmp scrolls are already a major grind and not rewarding just as a trim comp. That said im not fully opposed.
Chaos elemental i think is good where its at. I think the placement is part of what makes it the boss it is rather than an instance where it would be even more crazy easy to afk.
my bigger issue with chaos elemental is the fact it just dies in like 1-2 GCDs now
not if you're fighting it at an appropriate level, but if you are getting to it is a pain
Definitely need a second look at invention items, things like:
- Dungeoneering Party Simulator literally not doing anything
- Accumulators being just another urn but worse
- Jewelry compactors for some reason being late invention right before passage of the abyss instead of obtained early on to solve jewelry bank problem
more shortcuts around anachronia, travelling around there feels pretty awful
Fairy Rings on Anachronia. It's been nearly 7 years at this point, how long does it take to grow a circle of mushrooms?!
They keep running around after planting
I definitely think drop rates should definitely be looked at for Champ Scrolls but I like the idea of lamps that help out for progression now that all the free lamps with MTX are being phased out. Could really just makes someones day if a small slayer mob theyre grinding for exp, drops a champ scroll for an xp lamp once you beat the champ. Adding more end game normal mobs with even end game stuff would definitely make it a fun challenge if the rates arent abysmal.
Chaos elemental is just one (if not the only one) that isn't an instance boss fight. Would be nice if it was consistent with the rest of the bosses.
I don't see why it needs to be. If its not broken why fix it. Like I said it should have some extra wildy danger to it and putting it in sn instance just makes it even more of an AFK.
I think you're right there's a way to make it more relevant than just a trim grind
How come it's not in an instance to begin with?
Yes it's not broke, but it's also not consistent with everything else. Even the new boss that was placed in the wilderness, is in an instance.
An instance could in theory make things way harder and less afk.
At that point you're looking at more of a rework to the boss than just instancing him.
I'd rather see an empowered one as an instance instead of removing/upgrading existing CE
Cos he's kinda iconic
I feel like letting chaos elemental be a menace to ppl passing by is on theme for chaos
It should randomly teleport near obelisks
I think the problem with the chaos ele is that its very ez to be crashed since there is no option for an instance. At the very least they should make it possible to start an instance for it somewhere, even if it's just at a boss portal or something
I'd be opposed to that but tbh, the chaos elemental is so weak maybe they could just make it a slayer creature or something, but that be cool too
New wildy elite dungeon. Starting with Empowered chaos elemental as the first boss, wildy wyrm 2nd, and Reinvigorated King Black Dragon as final boss
Easiest solution is just moving the Abby beasts further west and reducing Ele's roam range
Doesn't really need an instance as you do it for pet and then never again
If anything, the drop rate for log items should be better than revs to make people do the boss and then you can argue for an instance
-
I want to see Telos be remastered. This boss had the best area to be an absolute unit by starting as a giant then scaling down to player size as he gets stronger and gets his own ability rotation when you reach certain enrages.
-
Honestly Corporeal Beast is the most Dark Souls type boss I ever seen. The design is already great but the current graphics do no support taking it to the next level
fuck it, throw it inside the chaos altar. That would be chaotic
That be really cool, or just like a room inside the chaos tunnels too
Maybe remaster the chaos tunnels?
yeah that'd probably be better so you don't just murder innocent skillers
Chaos Ele in the Chaos Altar but like, in a fenced off spot with a bunch of concerned wizards around it
they let you in to fight it because it keeps absorbing the energy in the altar and they can't actually stop it doing that except when you kill it
Did somebody say F2P chaos altar? 👀
honestly I have genuinely never understood the design ethos that resulted in the Chaos Altar and Chaos Runecrafting NOT being F2P
tbh same thing for Fletching
I don't get why that was just wholly locked off from F2P for so long
and like, I don't super dislike the rune cost adjustments for spells...
but I can't help but feel like it would have been easier to just make Chaos runes F2P
I agree making chaos rune would be easy fit for f2p, the altar is in f2p area and there would not be problem, Plus having the quest what lies below would be helpful.
Fletching is already f2p.
Offering Bone to altar could be coming to early game rebalance, and may include chaos altar. I need to ask mod breezy on clarity alternative prayer training on that update and if it would be f2p.
Fletching was members only from Classic all the way until 2017, and is still locked for F2P on OSRS. Ethorin was wondering about why Fletching was members only on release.
Ok that make sense
I remember Dragonslayer being a really special quest as a kid because it used to be the only dragon you could fight in f2p, too
Ultimatums perk rework: with the impending removal of the Supreme Invigorate Aura, I think the Ultimatums perk should be updated to fill the role. Instead of -5% adren cost per tier on certain ultimates not stacking with any other effects, change the perk to -2.5% cost per tier on any ultimate ability stacking with any other adrenaline saving effect (conservation of energy, ring of vigor, Igneous capes, Incite Fear, etc.)
Agility Courses Remastered. One of the biggest changes this year for mains is Silverhawk removal. To actually address Agility, I think the reward and exp systems for courses need to be modernized. Create a reward system that gives better exp for course completion, speed run timers (maybe even unique titles for certain clear times or some other reward structure), a reward system for completing certain types of courses (could be cosmetics from TH/SoF that can now be earned if it works with the theme of the course), and just visually touching them so they match the new visuals of the game.
Agility is going to be byfar one of the roughest pieces of content with Construction PoH being addressed so starting to at least fix the courses would be a good jump start to looking at agility as a whole.
Honestly agility also need some sort of reward system set in place, either independent for each course or, more likely, some sort of global agility reward token pool like how dungeoneering does.
It goes a long way of incentivizing people to train/do agility beyond level 99 bc as of now the only reason you'd go beyond is for the recognition you spent your entire life grinding 200m agility lol. The only consolation there would be that anachronia does give you value for running it's course.
I'm begging for reasons to go back to penguin agility, the course has so much charm and personality
Update the followers and Pets in the game, visuals, sizes, even add extra xp gained on examine maybe!
examine text collection log, would go hard ngl
Pest control, castle wars, citadels all need some TLC, Update all underground areas the ice wrym dungeon is outdated, dwarf tunnels where dragon pick axe is droped.
Agility tokens sound dope, but I have to wonder what it'd be used for? There's also the worry that we'd be sinking too much into tokens for everything, thus making the currency pouch issue bigger (though tbh the interface for the currency pouch, and what we use it for, also needs a bit of attention)
The problem is this would require a truly massive amount of storage space. Even 1 bit per item times 60+ thousand items is 8 KB for all existing item IDs, then add even more for all the random examinable scenery, then multiply by 300 million accounts (I know 99% of them will never log in again but they still take up space).
cosmetics, consumables, skilling items, it just depends on the angle tbh. In someways, maybe it could even be that some of the disparate reward tokens can be unified to become a more universal one?
Yeah that sounds good 🤔 but then would we be able to aggregate the tokens to buy things, or should we just make a general skilling token and call it a day?
Boss slayer master, only available if the player has completed Reaper Crew. The boss and any related minions take increased damage from the slayer helmet while on a task for that boss. The tasks count as regular slayer tasks separate from reaper tasks and have no daily limit, but cannot be skipped. Tasks only progress if you kill the boss solo (the boss slayer master doesn’t assign “group” bosses like Amascut, Vorago, or Mazcab Raids even if those bosses technically are possible in 1-player).
Oh, one more thing: while on a task for a particular boss, record kill times and combat achievements are not recorded.
maybe yea tbh. dungeoneering token could be brought under the fold too tbh. But, it'd mostly involve skills that doesn't generate much value? idk, it's tricky in the end.
Most other skills have some value. Agility is just the way outlier. Even with firemaking you have incense to make. It just needs something
Maybe it could be one store, and things are locked by skill according to how much XP a given skill has? So like, idk, 1,000 tokens but if you only have 5,123 XP in thieving, you can't use the tokens to get something for thieving that requires 7,500 thieving XP
it'd more likely be locked behind level than exp
stuff in the dungoneering shop is already locked behind level req
I'd love an examine log but thats really new content than remastered content
I was thinking there should be two currencies for agility courses. One general purpose one you can unlock and buy stuff and then one currency themed around individual courses. That way your encouraged to do a variety of courses as you progress for various unlocks and benefits.
You can even tie some rewards to faster movement through agility shortcuts as a reward space too. So that way it feels satisfying to get through certain shortcuts that are really helpful. For example barbarian outpost would help with Freminnik themed shortcuts like in the slayer cave to go faster as a potential course reward unlock.
i wouldnt mind that tbh. 2 courses on my mind already has that in a way.
brimhaven agility and anachronia agility both has some rewards for doing them.
...Barbarian Outpost and Gnome Tree Advanced Courses... technically have rewards...😂 😂
technically
Hefin course has drops... I'm not sure any of them remotely make the course worth doing...
ill kill myself before i do another 250 fricken laps at barbarian
agility has just been a weird skill for more or less it's entire existence
but right now it's like... you need the agility breakpoints, the prereqs for things
but there's this Relic called Endurance
sooooooooo
again, anachronia is imo the best iteration of agility. The entire course it self is a massive shortcut for the island
you can go for laps if you want to or literally use the course to quickly get from place to place.
fair
because Double Surge might as well be a prereg for... a lot of stuff
yea, i know
i had that done a long time ago. its so nice but goddamn
(trying to do BGH without either Double Surge and Dive is significantly worse than with both)
at least dive is simple
honestly i forgot tha hefin agility has any rewards given how rare they give anything
and how...well, shit they are lol
I would forget it more... but I did kinda a lot of laps of the place to get Anachronia agility fully unlocked
fair enough
its really just a travesty when a single pair of boots negates an entire skill training purely because of how much people detest training it
Agility is one of those skills
like much of hunter or old mining or old early woodcutting
where it's not actually "gameplay" in a meaningful, enjoyable sense, but it's also not AFK in any real way
i dont need afk play for agility, though i wouldnt reject it neither (hefin stances exists i know). It just needs...more. It seems like we havent really gotten any particularly useful or interesting shortcuts neither in a long time neither
at least hunting, mining, and woodcutting im gathering resources for future purposes
I don't neccesarily need AFK play either
but I do want fun play
and right now agility is neither AFK(and therefore tolerable because I can have fun doing something else at the same time) or fun in and of itself
agreed
Araxxor Mirrorback spiders should be much more visible. They look nearly identical to Bladed spiders, there’s no notification when they spawn except that you suddenly take a 15K hit, and they have a tendency to hide under Araxxor himself so you can’t even left-click them.
Suggestions:
Make bladed spiders a dark red instead of white.
Add a yellow arrow over the Mirrorback similar to the Barrows Brothers arrow.
Give Mirrorbacks a much taller clickbox so that they register above Araxxor.
Was there a request for telegraphing in older content? Ripper demon shadows, raksha rock fall, gw1/2 ground based mechanics, that kind of stuff.
The Varrock Herald hasn’t had an update in like 15 years, but the town criers are always shouting about the latest updates. The newspaper could detail game updates too in a game-lore way: “Adventurers warn against free drinks in taverns! Reports of being kidnapped to another continent.” on Havenhythe release for example. Additionally other sections could get new content, such as the Obituaries section listing important HCIM deaths or the Comics section having community submissions.
I stole this post from the OSRS discord #1416780412403060837 message but it fits in RS3 Remastered Content too.
Can we remaster Rasial's floor? Make it align with the actual grid
I'm actually against using the blue expanding square telegraphing too widely
I think there's a lot of bosses where it would just be immersion breaking
things like shadows, clouds etc can serve the same purpose
ehhhhh
Hermod's smash is SUPPOSED to have a shadow...
I get the shadow maybe 1 in 10 smashes
hermod's smash has a very long animation
I am on a potato laptop but even so
yeah, reacting to the boss so I surge is how I respond to it
I don't think anyone looks out for the shadow for that one. I didn't even know it existed
but that suuuuuucks
you can walk out of the way
the animation for the smash is really slow that IS the telegraph
the first few frames of the smash aren't that different from the first few frames of the auto attack
so trying to walk it out I get hit anyway like half the time
it's so different though
not different enough for me to reliably distinguish it fast enough
and like
if Hermod was like, a later game guy, I wouldn't be that annoyed
I'm not good at this game lol
but Hermod's an intro level boss
and like, there's clearly an intent there for clear telegraphing
both in the animation and the ground shadow
and both are just a biiiiit off IME
and now that there's the telegraphs from Flesh Hatcher and Sanctum and Amascut it's kinda just...
it's flatly just the perfect solution for at least half the boss mechanics in the game
I think the main telegraphing that needs to be added for older bosses isn't area telegraphing but instead "when is the next spec"
that "adren bar" thing
aren't most of them literally random?
Giant Mole is random... I think the GWD1 ones "including hard mode" are random
GWD2 is the auto attack count thing
bosses that are random are in the minority
do all of them skip the auto attack counts if they can't reach or is that just Helwyr?
mainly helwyr
I WAS GONNA ASK ABOUT THIS
I did the don't get hit by thrash CA last night and noticed the cycle was nothing like the one on the wiki so instead I had to base it on my own rotation
Nex by comparison is kinda the opposite I noticed, you can delay her major phase mechanics pretty substantially by running her around when she tries to melee auto but she'll always do the three autos I noticed
on the topic of Helwyr it'd be nice if we got those blue AOEs a GCD or two before the mushroom clouds spawn
yeah most of the time bosses are like this. it's also very relevant at telos
mushroom clouds are one of the few places it wouldn't be immersion breaking. although getting hit by them isn't exactly a big deal if you move out quickly. which I think was the idea behind the mechanic
seems to be more of a "you may be hit by this, get out" type thing rather than "don't get hit by this"
I could see that, I guess I just don't consider it a particularly fun type of randomness to engage with
compared to something like AG, I find the randomness in that fight a lot more engaging because the mechs themselves are relatively static but the ordering can give you a lot to consider
Helwyre's mushrooms are so freaking annoying lol
Sanctum telegraphing would work basically anywhere if you change the color depending on the boss.
Hard mode Helwyr missions are actually less annoying than NM because they’re a set pattern; the “don’t get hit by mushrooms” CA on normal mode is literally just a RNG check. Lime green squares would work here. Also adding better telegraphing for Gregorovic’s magic knife rain would be nice, it’s really hard to see the shadows and you get like 2 ticks of reaction time. Black telegraph squares could work instead of just a few dots that don’t even show the correct tiles. The HM Twin Furies bouncing fireball telegraph is also pretty hard to see, it just gets the Detonate green arrows on the particular tile but doesn’t show the full area. Maybe a red or purple square?
I think those pulsing arrow things that some of these mechanics use could use like a defined outline or something
Id love to see a remastered ahh fml whats the name of that quest......world wakes! Make it endgame grandmaster with buffed monsters, add more fights. Let's have an all out brawl with all the Godwars bosses.
This quest has always been so sick. And with the rewards potentially being taken from them I think an uplift with new rewards would do it greatly!
I remember doing this quest on release with me and so many friends in awe. When you just think all the generals are going to fight and all. Just such a good concept of a quest. Just wish it could be more. So thats my proposal
Player owned ports not having a seafaring figurehead is just silly. Please add one.
no support I like that they're uneven
Can the left click option on a boss arena change to “rejoin last instance” while you have an instance active? At least on the bosses where it costs GP or kill count to create an instance.
I kinda wanna build up Crandor like how we build up Fort and reestablish trade routes ( not a resource sim like anachron or time gated/daily/weekly/etc)
just like, lorewise, the Duke mentions him recalling when trade halted when he was younger when we talk to him about it during dslayer
I’d really like to see more Slayer task-able mid-level bosses, although task-only bosses like OSRS is probably not the best. Dagannoths, Dinosaurs, and Nodon Dragonkin are my favorite slayer tasks (although Kerapac is more high-level) so I’d love to see more options for bosses on task.
I also really enjoyed Glacor tasks at A-G until I got strong enough for Hardmode where Slayer Helm doesn’t work (which is fine balancing-wise). If the task wasn’t locked behind Ritual of the Mahjarrat then NM A-G would be a pretty good option for mid-level players.
Early game Farming. The meta shouldnt be get to 17 via lamps and then PoF till 99. The numbers need to be relooked at or at least give normal farming some functional use.
I think I sorc gardened the lower levels, which, while I love sorc garden, I don't think is much better for an intended main training method
Fletching would be a nice remaster
