#Restore & Hand in Multiple Artefacts

I agree it would be nice to hand in noted artifacts. But havign to run a few steps to the bank and back to restore isn't much of a problem
It's really the same as not being able to process other noted items like raw food and uncut gems and all that stuff
yeah on reading my suggestion again... this isnt actually a problem at all... Main focus point of this is actually handing in the restored artefacts
while i kinda understand the appeal, it kinda undermines the idea of them actually collecting the items, and not IOU's
i dont agree with the restoring the artfacts, i do agree on handing them in
From a Watsonian/Lore standpoint artefacts shouldn't be noted because there's no IOU for a (theoretically) unique ancient object. From a Doyalist/Player standpoint it can be annoying running 150 batches of Dragonkin IV to Velucia from the bank. I hated doing it but its immersion breaking to note them.
try running 150x back and forth to goblin village, now i know there are teleports for it ofc, but players who dont have acces to them are kinda screwed if they wanna do the 115 spot and the 119 spot in warforge (forgot about the name of the collection)
Im sorry but there is no immersion in running from a bank to a collector multiple times... its a nuisance. The immersion is collecting what they specifically want
Disagree. There is immersion in it, and doing those hand-in runs watching Chronotes and stuff add up after hours upon hours of digging and restoring is satisfying. Wouldn't want it replaced with a one-click-done or note all then hammer the button for 100 turn ins. It is an active choice to collect a bunch and then do the turn in spree. It's already a very rewarding feeling
You could also actively make the choice to keep running unnoted artifacts to hand in 🤷♂️
There's such a thing as too much convenience, simple as tbh.
Also, I think it's a poor argument to suggest that people could just choose to not utilize convenience. Fact is, if the option of convenience exists and is accessible, it automatically makes not using it feel worse, even for those that enjoyed it in its original form.
Essentially, realistically you're shoehorning people into a certain option. This is very much the case with for example necromancy vs other styles for irons. I love magic and melee, they feel great to use inherently, but they automatically feel much worse to use when I'm putting in a lot more effort for a lot less simply because I'm missing 7 ability codices and 10 items gathered from various sources when necromancy just has essentially the full bis list from one boss and the ability unlocks behind a tangible guaranteed progression unlock
Yet necromancy is also jsut a worse style unless you can't be bothered getting good at pvm
Sure theres "to much convenience" but that's also 100% "to much nuisance"
It is when you have all the unlocks and gear, but in the early pvm progression necromancy isn't just slightly but extremely far ahead of the other styles in virtually every single aspect. More damage, much less hassle to acquire (especially with regards to augmentatble weapons)
I'm personally not sure that last part is true but your point definitely stands. The fact that you can pull out ancient artefacts from /any/ bank regardless of where you stored them kinda means that ship has already sailed 😂
