some of these used to be broadcasted but were removed after people got annoyed. IMO they should be broadcasted if they unlock a collection log slot (or probably just broadcasted for DOC)

Most likely the case for Barrows items, so I can understand that one. They are relatively common after all.
The other ones I feel should rightfully get the broadcast considering the rarity.

I suspect that requires a deeper technical update.
My main goal is for actual rare items/feats to get broadcast love.
Gzz'ing others is amazing, seeing the personal broadcast pop as the drop land is also an amazing feeling.
And some tedious to get items don't get that love, where some trash drops (looking at you, latent offering) do get a broadcast.

I think everyone has a different view about where the line should be drawn (as with e.g. automaton gloves - which were removed because people complained about them broadcasting)
there's no point in making fine-tuned changes at this point imo

Gloves are a 1/1k to drop.
When the world wakes released, it was extremely popular, which results in many drops and broadcasts of course.
