#make enemy level in dungeoneering depend on your level in the combat style you are currently using

Hi there.

I have a f2p character that is like, level 50 melee / stregth / defence, and lvl 40 magic. However, i am level 20 range.

I was thinking of levelling up range while doing some dungeoneering, but on floor 1 and floor 2 i am met with a few enemies (like the boss on floor 1) that are level 40 or something, and my accuracy against them is 10-20%, because my range level is 20.

IMPORTANT: Note that i am using a level 5 bow. I do not know if this significantly impacted my accuracy, and if using a level 20 bow would bump up the accuracy to 80-100%. HOWEVER, the Smuggler only had level 5 bows. no level 20 bows. (Floor 1 and Floor 2)

I was wondering if the enemy level scaled depending on all your combat skill levels, not the one you are using.

The problem i would like to talk about is how i wanted to level up and use range in Dungeoneering, and started at Floor 1 and Floor 2.

However, the boss for Floor 1 and one enemy on Floor 2 (Floor 2 still in-progress) were around level 40, and made it hard for my level 20 range using a level 5 bow (only one accessible to me) to hit hard.

Is the levels of the enemies dependent on the level of ALL my combat skills? Because my melee / strength / magic are level 40-50, but i was using range, which i am level 20 in. Some of the enemies (like boss on Floor 1) were level 40, which would have been fine if i was using melee or magic, but i was not. I was using range.

That is the problem. I was using a lower-levelled combat skill in dungeoneering (lvl 20 range, lvl 5 bow), but some enemies were too high level for me to hit well (10% accuracy i think?). I assume this is because the level of the enemies might have been taking into account all the levels for all my combat skills (lvl 50 def, atk, strength, lvl 40 magic), and not the level of the combat skill i was actually using.

Can we have the level of enemies in dungeoneering depend on the level of the combat style i am CURRENTLY using?

i have a screenshot of me fighting a lvl 42 spider with bow (level 5) and only having 19% accuracy. unable to post here for some reason.

Also, no armor. I could only have one item in loadout. But for some reason, i could loadout two melee weapons (main and off-hand) but not a bow and a armor piece

I forgot how RS2/OSRS plays other than wearing black dhide for everything but in RS3, your weapon tier matters alot. And also making sure you aren't mixing and matching random styles of armor.

I believe dg mob level is calculated by 1) your complexity level and 2) your overall combat stats

#

If you want to get some training done, c1/2 rushes might be your best bet

and yeah, might be better if i lower the complexity level if what you are saying is how it works

What do you expect from low lvl weapon

grim horizon

Generally you'll always want to use the highest level gear you can wear

#

And in dg that's fairly easy, mobs drop a ton of weapons

#

Though I'm trying to think of what bow you'd be using 'cuz dg doesn't have 5 level increments, it should operate on 10 level increments

#

Are you using a tangle gum bow?

let me check

tangle gum bow, novite arrows

It's not really possible to spawn enemies based on the specific combat style you choose to use

That's tier 1, yeah

so if i am level 20 range, but level 50 attack / strength and level 40 magic, then if i choose to use range to fight, there is still a chance that level 40-50 enemies spawn, like what happened to me at Floor 1 (the boss) and Floor 2 (one spider, which i have a tiny screenshot of accuracy against it)

i left after seeing that spider being level 40 something and me having low accuracy against it (around 10%).

NOTE: Most enemies were level 3-10. It was just the boss of Floor 1 and the spider on Floor 2 (normal mob). Then i stopped mid-floor 2

It's literally the weakest gear in the whole of dg, so that's gonna be a big reason you're not dealing much damagw

#

If you have a moment, I'll get into a dungeon with you & make you some bows for level 20-40

Okay, well, tag me sometime tonight or whenever you're in dg and if I'm available I'll hop on to make you some stuff

mobs spawn on dungeon generation, in that moment you're not using any combat style because you're not in combat

You also don't have any gear equipped, that happens after the dungeon has been filled in
