During Pride Month, or always, let Pride note have the same healing effect as enhanced excalibur, but for a larger group instead of just one person.
It would require a cooldown to avoid it being too OP, and even half the amount of healing that enhanced excalibur provides would be sufficient, considering what type of item the Pride note is.
#Heal yourself and the community with Pride note

We don't need any more healing just for the sake of healing.
I was more interested in keeping some skillers alive while doing events, for example. Not everyone carries food or runes for intercept during these events.
The Pride Note as an item has zero likeness to the Enhanced Excalibur, aside from making text appear above the player.
A cup of tea does the same thing.
The Pride note sends a more important message, and the community doing sociable things together should be a nice experience for those who wish to participate. With some healing involved, skillers should feel more safe, as enhanced excalibur is locked behind combat achievements.
At the moment, the primary use of that item is trolling at high traffic areas.
Wouldn't you consider it as better if it had a cooldown then? That was the main reason I included the part about the cd.
The enhanced excalibur isn't locked behind 'combat achievements', but more so "Area tasks" that encourage regular progression of the game. Some of these achievements knowingly have Combat stat requirements to complete, but calling them "Combat achievements" is giving mis-information.
Part of the fun of a Skiller is working within the restrictions you are given and provided.
The game already supplies plenty of tools for healing for Skillers, such as Persistent Rage and the Regenerate ability for outside of combat; Saradomin brews which can top-out and overheal; Minnows and Purple sweets for a near infinitely stackable source of healing.
Ice Asylum additionally exists as an ability others can use to provide similar functionality to what you are suggest.
Area tasks go under achievements, therefore I stated it like that.
You may not have noticed, but I already mentioned that people usually do not bring food during certain events.
Trains are one of the main reasons that skillers get attacked by hobgoblins, highwaymen, muggers, etc. This makes the regenerate ability rather useless, unless one manages to get past without dying, which is not always the case, from what I have witnessed.
Ice Asylum would be efficient, but I doubt that the average player has that in mind during the community events.
Persistent Rage requires 98 in archaeology, and a player with low stats would be unable to use it because of this.
A skiller should know what NPCs they are going past during these events; what NPCs may be aggressive to them and be at least minimally prepared.
Which events in particular? Either way this pride note shouldn't have in-game buffs
Not all events are planned that well, unfortunately. Going on a random route is more common, especially when the main idea is to bring a group of people together in one place.
The Pride month event that JMods host, it includes walking through a few areas (usually from Lumbridge, through Draynor and Falador, and ending up in Varrock). There are also friendly meetups for groups with common interests, hosted by anyone.
If you are willing to, I am more than interested in knowing why you feel like the note should not have buffs.
Group healing is ideal, as the second best option is through Lunar Spells.
It is completely unnecessary for it to have any sort of buff.
It is intentionally a vanity item. Nothing more.
Cute bait, but I'm a firm believer in keeping buffs like this tied to in-game methods of unlocking, not just a free hand out for everyone to take advantage of. Also on the topic of using this to keep skillers alive it wouldn't work anyways. They would need to be in the vicinity of the person using the note along with the hp restore scaling to 10hp. It wouldn't provide enough healing to maintain a skillers hp while being attacked constantly by a mob anyways
Or do you have a jaded view and believe just because someone disagrees with an idea you had for a vanity item, our ulterior motive is we don't want to see it with a passive because of what the note represents? Because you're part of the problem if so
I am sorry that you think that I am trying to bait you. I was generally interested in your opinion on the matter.
Skillers are able to get this item (Pride note), they just need to be present during a JMod event, where they are handing it out. So there is no need for anyone else to keep it safe.
If a skiller is constantly being attacked by mobs, it does not seem likely that the train is moving, which it would be.
Bring a saradomin brew. Takes 1 inventory slot.
then it's a bit of a non-issue if they won't be consistently attacked? the mobs you mentioned won't one or two hit them
I am more interested in getting information, rather than judge people for what they believe to be right. There is nothing wrong with learning a little bit from other people's perspective, in my opinion.
We had already given you lots of information why before that comment π
The information has constantly been provided within the thread which seems to have constantly been ignored. This is now just turning into mental gymnastics at this point.
When a skiller is first attacked, their health is reduced, by the time we reach the next mob, the health has yet to be at 100%, making the health go down everytime the train passes through mobs, which leads to death, if one does not pay enough attention, or has no way to protect themselves.
I feel like you are providing with something new, but that may just be from my point of view.
These events usually attract a lot of people correct? The likely hood of the same skiller being attacked over 5-6 times is minimal. You're just reaching for anything to hold onto at this point
There are more than one skiller in most of these events, and there are more enemies than one, unless this is regarding the highwayman.
5-6 attacks are more than enough to kill a skiller, depending on which monster is attacking. Since there are multiple foes in each encounter, there is enough "fun" for all the skillers.
This is how you're coming off π The pride route sees you pass a couple muggers and highwaymen which max around 200. They won't roll their max every attack. Also if I seen a skiller getting attacked I would assist them, that's part of being a helpful and loving community isn't it?
If a skiller is being attacked, then a few people will attempt to kill the monster causing the damage, however, not everyone is aware of where these monsters are, so they sit back and relax. This results in the skiller taking more damage, before anyone notices and is able to assist.
And how would having a small group healing effect with a cooldown help skillers in this situation? If they are running into multiple mobs and getting attacked in multiple locations this wouldn't help them? Did you forget what you were arguing for?
As a skiller myself who has attended said Pride marches before; I have not ever encountered these problems; because I know that aggressive NPCs exist on the provided routes and would have some absolutely minimal understanding and preparation.
The cooldown is there to prevent the overuse of the item, as some individuals dislike that people spam the messages it gives, and also for the skillers to survive longer, should the healing be insufficient. Others may find it to be a nice addition during their PvM sessions. It is there to help, an optional group healing, that is not meant to be used too often, hence the cd.
It is a vanity item.
All it needs is a cooldown to reduce it being abused.
Thanks.
This sentence targets Pride marches alone, when the majority of the walking/train events are from other sources.
You may have experience with how the marches work, but a new inexperienced player will not have the same knowledge around the game, and will therefore struggle with making necessary precautions.
