- Add an invention perk named "Arthropod Slayer" (or "Vermin Slayer"): Increases damage against spiders, kalphites, cockroaches and other bugs/insects by 7% (similar to demon slayer, undead slayer and dragon slayer)
- In addition to this, similar to dragon bait, demon bait and undead bait, there could also be a negative version named "Anthropod Bait" (or "Vermin Bait")

Depending on how generic or specific slayer perks are expected to be, i'd personally argue they're supposed to be broad and further argue almost every monster should be affected by some kind of slayer, this suggestion in particular seems like something that could be rolled into a more comprehensive "beast slayer" perk lest it be too niche
While yeah that would be fine, there is already demon/dragon/undead slayer perks. And bait perks also. They're not broadly categorized as is, and if they redone it now it'd be.. i guess a nonissue overall since everyone would have the same things but maybe they went for specific combos before and lost out going for something when a generic one would've made a cheaper option viable. As it stands though they're seperated, i think arthropods slayer/bait would be a cool addition, support from me!
its not entirely 1:1, but i like to draw from hearthstone tribes when thinking of slayer perks, that dev team was pretty good about hitting the right balance in regards to how broad or niche they need to be to encompass most of the cards they print, though obviously bringing some of those to runescape wouldn't really work (elemental, murloc, naga, mech) but the 4 big ones that are applicable are dragon, undead, demon and beast
Ohh i see what you mean now. Yeah i could get behind that
- Added alternatively named "Vermin Slayer"/"Vermin Bait"
Invention Perk: Arthropod Slayer
which kind of monsters would you suggest "beast slayer" would trigger?
pretty much every beast you can think of; birds, mammals, reptiles, insects, etc
Thats too much for one perk of 7% damage increase. Maybe for a 3% damage increase that would be okay then.
That kind of perk have to be niche to dont be OP.
you might think its alot, but you'd have to think about how much of it is really relevant
maybe a "Human Slayer" would be a possible perk...
i look at bosses, and the only ones i see being affected are mole, kq and rax
there's not really that many high end slayer mobs that would be affected either
but for slayer this would be for the most slayer assignments..
mammoths is the only one i can think of off the top of my head
dinosaurs too i guess
Whats about Airuts and Beastmaster?
airuts are sentient beings, not beasts
i think that might be too confusing
Think about Beastmaster named Beastmaster because its the Master of Beasts
😄
yeah but nobody would know where the border is. For Example Dragon slayer is very easy to know which monster will trigger and Undead slayer too, but if i think about Beast slayer, i could not say which monster will trigger or not
if you mean "Beasts" like "Animals" it could named Animal Slayer and it would be fine.
but on my opinion "Beasts" are every enemy but Humans or normal Animals
