#Include Ape Atoll in Nexus Mod relic

Currently, due to the need for a banana to teleport to Ape Atoll, the Nexus Mod relic allows for all teleports to be accessible, except for the Ape Atoll teleport, because it only covers runes. May I suggest removing the need for a banana to teleport to Ape Atoll, or let the Nexus Mod relic treat bananas as runes and cover it too. In other words, reword the relic to say 'removes the cost of teleportation spells in spell books' rather than just 'rune cost'.

My brain is upset by the Ape Atoll teleport being the only teleport not lit up lol 😄

I mean it makes sense. Why would anyone downvote this

Bananas arent runes so the relic shouldn’t cover it and theres no real reason to remove it as an item cost

solar seal

The relic is supposed to make all teleports free of charge. Why does a single banana have to complicate the relic?

#

It’s literally the only teleport affected by this

@solar seal more banana merchers 😉

Which is why your issue is with the only teleport that doesn’t require just runes

Because its thematic to the teleport and the teleport hasn’t been changed since it came out 17 years ago

I understand the joke there's just not really much point making jokes on suggestions
and yes things have been changed in runescapes lifespan, and if the banana was added in halfway down the line sure it could be removed, but the spell hasn't been changed since its been released and it seems p stupid to suddenly change it

I think the better solution would be to have the relic be reworded to: 'removes the cost from teleportation spells in spell books', rather than 'rune cost'. What opposition could you offer to this suggestion?

If it makes sense in lore that bananas are now magically provided by it then sure

They’re radioactive irl why not make them magical in our medieval cookie clicker

#

Like I don’t get the opposition. What benefit comes from gatekeeping a banana from being included in the relic power?

#

The abyssal gatestone is meant to bypass teleportation limitations. Which in turn grants us this power with the monolith. The lore is already there. What makes ape atol different? A banana in a spell combination made 15 years ago?

#

Feed the monolith a monkey or an antique banana to boost the relic. Who cares.

That could be a good way of doing this. Find the magical banana to feed to the monolith. I'm sure Zaros is hungry

Or use this as a way to Segway another gnome questline

You can't remove the banana that is explained when you unlock the spell.

I am more in support of a new monkey quest will allows you to walk around Ape Atoll as a human.

Bananas are runes

I can see it now, monkey madness II, you search for a special banana relic and learn it last appeared in Faladors party room, you and Party Pete fight against the special forces of ape atoll to secure the relic and use invention and construction to set up a reverse tower defense puzzle where you try to get balloons out of the building to lure the monkeys away as a nod to Bloons in part of the quest.
