None. Saint Cannon egged me on to make a "leths hot takes of the day thread" and it was a genuinely funny idea to his credit so I did.

My post was "I like Hogwarts Legacy." Civil calm discussion ensued over the controversial divide over the game and it was deleted after 16 minutes.

So to counterbalance this I shall post a cold take everyone can unite under without terrifying the silent onlookers.

Runescape: The Desert series has been incredibly underwhelming almost its entire run. It needs at least 2 quests to sort itself out without feeling rushed like Menaphos which we all know we're unlikely to get.

Irl: Streamer worship culture is as bad as Celebrity worship culture. If you've ever parted with your hard earned money to fund the lazy easy life of someone who develops an ego from sitting on their ass playing games who then dares call it a "Job" then I consider you unwell.

let me elaborate on why we won't change it. a few years back, the OSRS server had colored roles- which you might think, what does that have to do with anything. well, it is the reason why we were hesitant to even have it in here for the longest time. that server had a problem with regular users bullying people with "white names". by just having a silly colored role that someone else didn't have created a ton of problems. eventually, those bullies were all banned and the server has been pretty since then. the lasting impression though is that by creating disparities in privileges or even perceived privileges, devolves into tribalism. it becomes an us against those that don't have those same permissions.

there are probably groups that wouldn't abuse the heightened privileges, but, at the same time, why would we purposely invite problems. it isn't like we can pick which words a role can/can't say, it has to be everything or nothing. if we allow everything for mithril+, what happens when an account gets hijacked and they spam the n word? or if someone's little brother spams hate rhetoric? or someone just being spiteful or caught up in an argument and drops a homophobic slur? we would of course remove those individuals, but the damage is already done. people saw the words used and their mood may be impacted by it. this server becomes less inviting and not a place where some people would want to come to.

that is why it is a hard no. we aren't interested in giving some users more permissions over others nor are we interested in giving people the ability to say whatever they want in here. our standing policy is that people who purposely test the filter or evade the filter get removed from the server- which those rules do apply here. i have had to come in this section in the past week than i normally had to in a typical month. there are just conversations that are not appropriate for this server. so please just stay within our guidelines, rules, and filters

During times when my ocd gets bad and I stop eating bread (as that means using your hands instead of utensils) I do notice a slight weight loss happening, though those times also often have me forgetting to eat anything until my stomach starts eating itself and I remember "oh, right, food", so probably not that correlated
