#Small Fort Forinthry Suggestions

Hi all,

After a few days of Fort Forinthry being a thing, I've had a couple of thoughts about what would be really nice. Maybe these are things that are coming ltaer down the line, maybe not... I didn't see a bigger thread for small suggestions, so apologies if I've just missed it 🙂

First suggestion is regarding the ports table in the Command Centre. It has a right-click teleport option to enter your port, however if I exit the port via the portal, I end up in Port Sarim, not Fort Forinthry. It would be nice if you could toggle the exit location between the port or fort, or if it honoured the location you entered it from.

A similar example where this already exists would be the exit portal at a Clan Citadel. It knows whether I entered it from South Falador or Prifdinnas so when I exit the citadel, it returns me to whichever portal I used to enter it.

Second suggestion is a house teleport portal. They're scattered around the world at present, but given it's your house and your fort, both heavily linked to the construction skill, it would be great to have a house teleport portal inside the fort. Given the number of bank chests within the fort & the amazing workshop, it seems it would be ideal to be able to travel between the two with ease to make building your house that little bit less painful.

Lastly, the workshop in the fort is great. Everything you need to do the majority of artisan skills... except an actual workbench. We've got the saw mill for making planks & refined planks. We've got the workbench for making wooden frames to build the fort... but nothing to allow us to build things like flatpack furniture. It would be nice to get a workbench of this type, or have this feature added to the existing combined sawmill/workbench unit that is already in place

Thanks! 🙂

Couple of comments.

Command Center: the Ports table as it currently stands is useless. The buffs are nice, but the table is identical to your Ports book, but it doesn't move. Being able to upgrade buildings, hire people, send & receive story voyages, etc, buy from the smuggler and trader, would make it actually a useful table.
As it is you can get to a bank faster than that table and just use the book.
Your suggestion would make the teleport useful on it, if nothing else. So I'd like to see that, too.
Anachronia is in a similar situation. Resources only update when you're on Anachronia so table doesn't add much. Also making workers divisible by six would be nice.

POH portal is something I've also been wishing was there. I hope it's added.

I think more stations like that are likely to be added, however yeah the workshop is probably the most logical place for such that particular one.

I definitely think that the house portal would be fitting, if there's meta concerns I'm not worried about that because the butler brings planks faster anyways, so having a portal right there and exiting to go to the bank would not ruin the balance of the game.

One thing that isn't mentioned is the cash sink, I don't know what the amount of money leaving the game for planks currently was given invention plank machines and plank NPC drops, but now we make our own planks nobody's going to pay a sawmill to make them. Therefore, to think extra cash, if there's things that make our lives a lot more convenient but cost a little bit of money, that would help the economy; a good example is paying the miscellaneous Kingdom coins in order to boost your kingdom reputation remotely. It's worth the $70,000 coins to boost the remotely and having a 100% every single day, rather than have to go all the way out of my way to teleport to the castle climb down all the stairs and cut some maple trees

Good point! Cash sinks are a plus.

Jagex needs to do something fast for disinflation if you look at the price of weapons, and the price of bonds. Bonds are up like 200% in the last couple years, and they accurately reflect inflation. Want weapons under max cash? Let's reduce inflation by sinking more coin.

Lower inflation benefits: Prices easier to manage, money easier to sink (cause a small sink is a greater overall percentage), alch drops add more value to the drop table due to their coins worth more, etc.

I don't see any benefits to inflation being runaway.

Otherwise, we might need Jerome Powell here lol...

Yeah I know, I was agreeing.
