#Increase damage of rock/tree wildy events

Currently, the damage from the roots of the bloodwood tree or the heat from the infernal star do tiny amounts of damage, enough to the point where its literally not needed to avoid either of them.
Alongside the removal of the threat monsters in the future, I think the damage of these hazards should probably be upped in order to actually have them pose a threat at all, and not just solvable by one persons icy prism.
The KBD events fire tornadoes do a good amount of damage, enough to easily kill you if you aren’t paying attention for a few seconds, so I don’t really see why the other two should have such minuscule damage in comparison

This’ll prob get downvoted by a few people who don’t like it when things that make the game harder are suggested and that’s obviously fine, but would be nice to have some replies about the idea that you dislike if you are going to downvote.

With the removal of the threat in the wilderness, the flash events just become a regular daily distraction that has a huge payout for no risk whatsoever
Could also do things such as having special sacks for those who complete the event with PVP enabled (maybe give a higher chance at core), but i imagine that idea will be even more disliked than the above due to the toxic pvp community ruining most peoples experiences with the gamemode

So making it harder for lower level players to actually want to participate in wilderness flash events? What's the benefit from this? Also, what's the purpose of having pvp enabled when other players can kill you and steal your stuff? So griefiers and lurers are happy? Please explain again, the benefit from that.

Doesn’t have to only make it harder for lower level players, it could just be an increase damage of flat hp % so it hits everyone the same instead of increasing the damage by a flat amount to then make it more lethal to lower hp people

And the “benefit” is that it makes the wilderness actually have threat in it again, jmods stated on their recent livestream that they missed the mark on the flash mobs that appear so this is a suggestion to substitute some threat on the activities that people mostly use the wilderness for. These events put a huge amount of gold into the game with virtually 0 risk atm, and when the mobs get removed it’ll pretty much be 0 for 2/3 of the events.

And the purpose for the pvp enable is a higher risk higher reward for the events. The game shouldn’t be balanced around griefers or lurers and I’m not really sure why you think I’m suggesting this to benefit them, rather than to actually try and make pvp relevant again for people who do choose to participate or god forbid actually enjoy it.

Yet, still lower level players have lower hp which would make it easier for them to die, at events that aren't combat-based. For the kbd it's expected that people take damage and do end up at death's office by chance, because it's a combat event, however evil tree and infernal star, aren't combat events, they're skilling events. I don't see the purpose in players dying more easily at them given the circumstances.

Currently, it still has threat with slayer mobs attacking players, for some it may be an annoyance, but for another group they may end up being deadly, but once threat is removed, I guess so will the mobs. Perhaps there's a better solution at making the wilderness more dangerous, such as some people have mentioned, bringing back the revenants or something of that sort.

They removed the forced pvp for a reason, so I don't see how would risking your items would benefit anyone, but griefers and lurers. Like I said, forced pvp was removed for a reason, no one wants to lose their stuff, even less stuff that they worked for for a long time or stuff that they spent hundreds, if not thousands of gp as well as time, so I disagree with this.

I understand the argument for lower level players since it helps with inclusivity but honestly they shouldn’t even really be there, wildy was never designed for newer people to go into since it was always meant to be dangerous.

Yeah this was a suggestion for after the threat mobs got removed, i dont think increasing the danger of one small mechanic on the encounters is on par with danger of having some mobs (that some people might not even be able to attack due to slayer level) appearing and attacking them. Both the attacks have popup boxes on the screen so its not like its a really intensive thing to do

Im not talking about adding back in force enable pvp. I’m talking about having higher rewards from the event if you are enabled pvp. Higher risk for more rewards. Lets people who actually want to pvp maybe have some more people to attack, and its completely optional. The wilderness warbands is there to risk pvp enabled activity for good exp rewards in a D&D format so this isnt really that far out of what the game already has
