#switch mage books anywhere 99 mage

I agree with this as long as we can't change it while in combat.
I would prefer to be able to mid combat, there are a few abilities from each of the 3 books that would be nice to have all at once.
Maybe make it part of the 120 cape's perk? It's not like that's all that hard to get to these days.
thats what spellbook swap spell is for. Plus they are trying to reduce switch scape, not add to it.
Idk what you’re doing where spellbook swap doesn’t cut it, i rarely change my magic spellbook and if i ever need to do one or two spells then spellbook swap fits in perfectly. In combat spellbook swaps definitely a no, despite the fact i cant even think of a place where itd useful
You’re right
Qol is my main point, annoying to need to bank to do it
Yeah but how often are you switching spellbooks for this to be an actual annoyance
I can’t personally think of any content where you need different spellbooks enough where spellbook swap isnt a solution
Btw disruption shield, vengeance, high alch, vulnerability, enfeeble, and ancients all at once would be nice
If you could have all those at once then spellbook swap would, for the most part, be useless
Also explorers ring 4 does 15 high alchs daily if you dont wish to use runes for it
Fine, be against making access to things you already have more streamlined. I however for the last 15ish years have been against the books being separate.
Its not a case of that, its just that there isnt any activities that need you to swap spellbooks often enough where going to a bank is an actual hindrance imo
Like the only reason youd use most of these are in pvm, where you wouldnt want to fully swap spellbooks anyway
I admittedly frequently find myself (on my Ironman) going for a herb run and unable to use fertile soil cause I forgot to swap. Things like that are annoying.
Ok but how often does it truly happen that you forget to do this
Once every few weeks, but it doesn’t really matter, this is a matter of you thinking why would it be necessary to allow full access to all 3 at once there aren’t instances where that would be critical. Whereas my opinion is why would you not allow access to all 3 at once, instead of limiting the player in that manner.
Because of lore reasons in the game and the fact that giving everyone access to all 3 spellbooks would not only be horrible for the interface but also probably for balance reasons. Give everyone access to all 3 and spellbook swap is useless and you’d be in here a week later complaining that the magic cape perk is now useless as you have all 3 spellbooks and dont need to swap anymore
I have my spellbook open permanently for spell changing and i know i personally wouldn’t enjoy having all the random low level spells filling up my interface when I’m trying to find certain ones to press
My original post includes the ability to swap from anywhere, that would be the cape perk. About the interface perhaps we could “hide” below lvl xx and whatever we don’t have runes for atm.
oldschool RS can use the mage cape anywhere even while in combat even tho pvp is rs3 is ded content i dont see a reason id use it in combat
As long as it's not able to be done in combat. That is what spellbook swap is for. Get some rune pouches and you'll never leave ancients if you actually use magic.
