pain as in you just got shot or pain as in you have 50% hp -> more sway?
It could be whatever feels more balanced. Not just for realism
They'd have to test this a lot
Which adds a lot of dev time
But its an interesting concept regardless of if it is considered. Just not a feasible option probably I assume
Each weapon would need specific balancing done based on what HP percent, stamina percent or pain percent a person is experiencing so its not whacky
personally i like the stamina system from insurgency but i dont think it would be fun in bbr.
beside as of right now there is no stamina system at all
Yeah, running and gunning is the goal

And not involve stamina

i would already be happy if the players stance had any effect
Would be cool too if suppressive fire affected some sort of variable, as well as pain/hp loss
So it'd be a pool of one variable that gets added tiny bit by all of them
So positioning and taking accurate far away shots get more difficult more so than close range based on that
This way running and gunning close range is practically unaffected, but suppressive fire becomes very valuable

must say im not a fan of suppression = sway in games
Does sound over the top, I guess it just depends on factors. Get shot once and suppressed? Then most likely there is a bit of sway or maybe even more spread from far away shots. But I guess it'd need extensive testing 😔

Im not really a fan of supression in general
Its either super artificial or ineffective
Playtest ruined the impression a lot
I dont think that many will be lining up for the update when it comes out in a few years

Which, im sorry to say… This sounds pretty similar to that and there’s a reason why it was left in BF3.
I like it because while it sucks to be on the end of it, it gives lmgs a real use
And I find that you notice it more when it’s gone
