Username not updating in game

hello, i'm so sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this but i recently updated my steam username. It appears correctly on the main menu, but in game it still appears as my old username, is there any way I can fix this:)

To help others find answers, you can mark your question as solved via Right click solution message -> Apps -> ✅ Mark Solution

It's usually cached for one to a few days on our back-end to avoid having to call Steam's API every time we need someone's name in-game. This means that your username will eventually update as the cache invalidates.

it has been around a month, does it normally take longer? this is not urgent i am just curious

This should be a matter of days, definitely not in the range of a month. Are you sure that it's not updated?

it's weird, it appears normally on the main menu but not in a match
