#A compromise in the TTK department?

Instead of increasing base player HP across the board (which’ll make pistols dogshit), perhaps we could moderately increase armor HP but change nothing else about the game’s TTK. Thoughts?

It could make armor choices matter more and would make TTK more variable instead of fixed.

If the change makes light armor too undesirable, you might want to give it as much magazines as normal armor. I’m just sayin’ and not demanding anything.

I thought the TTK changes were to lessen the impact of flanks 👀
It was also to help new players & teamwork 🙋‍♂️

however i’d want a damage increase for pistols so that they can stay relevant

This is exactly how they're going to do the ttk increase

#

Through buffing armor

Actually they're also adjusting base class health

Assault is gonna be 75 and support is 150 last i heard

finite wagon
#

itll finally be worth it

#

150 seems like too much but im not complaining

grave mulch
#

150 vs 75 hp is absolutely too much

#

along with whatever the support armor iss gonna add

#

its going to be unbearable to play assault because you will literally lose any 1v1 against any barely lucid support

# finite wagon nooo the assault meta is gone

Class balance is very good right now. Medic could be a bit better and there could be fewer Recons, but overall it covers playstyles quite well. Nerfing assault that hard will probably make it impossible for me to play how I enjoy playing.

but honestly now that i know some of the more specific details abt the TTK changes, im on board with what they’re doing (since they’re more “dynamic”)

finite wagon
#

also medic is fine imo, since their ability to infinitely revive and heal stands well

#

also does engineer get any buffs other than specific weapons (i.e the RPG)?

#

im not familiar with engie enough

grave mulch
#

Yeah. I don't really think there is an "assault meta" right now because it all depends on what playstyle you want to do. The best class totally depends on playstyle, it just so happens that assault is best for high kpm.

finite wagon
#

hm

grave mulch
#

Engie has empty armor so maybe something with that

finite wagon
#

ideally, engie should get some equipment handling or capacity buffs

grave mulch
#

If i had to guess it would have somewhere between support and assault hp

finite wagon
#

in non-vehicle maps, engie is kinda like a worse assault but with the ability to carry an RPG
it’s boring but balanced as is

Tell that to danarchy

Inconsistent kill times are bad. Imagine, you're used to killing opponents in a certain amount of time. It's hardwired into you. But there are some guys that that time doesn't work for, there's not enough of it. You under-shoot, you divert your aim because you're used to a certain time and you die

#

For the same reason, a week with support assignments is abhorrent. Because you live in a world where you randomly have a skinny or fat opponent in front of you and this variability throws off the rhythm of the game

Shouldn’t have to be said but overbuffing one class because it sucks against another is just bad game design. Sure the leg meta is questionable but it literally was that reason (along with movement speed but that’s a trade off, so not an issue) why exo sucked, unless you knew how to use your buildables effectively

#

If you’re not paying attention you should be punished. Simple as

#

But yeah medic does either need more tools or the healing tools should be more efficient, right now everything uses old values (especially the medkit drop) making it situational, and even then it probably still isn’t worth it

finite wagon
#

regardless, i love medic cause i can help tons of people pronto and get tons of exp on the side

#

im a pro reviver

TBH, pistols should have had a 1.5x headshot multiplier from the start.

IIRC, it's like 1.15x atm, which is utter dogshit.
The G18 is a perfect example of why too. Aside from EXO gear, it's the same bullet requirement to the head and the chest, making aiming for headshots literally pointless.

Who cares if you get the enemy down to 1.9hp or 0.04hp for that last bullet, it's STILL going to require the same number of bullets whether you're hitting all shots on the head or all shots on the chest.
