Mortar either as a item to use in your kit or on a vehicle. Long ranged especially on a vehicle. Would be usefull against a large group of snipers or one pesky sniper.

wrong item

#

nonetheless it has no counterplay if the guy knows where you are

#

played bf4 rush and it was just one guy with drone strikes sitting in spawn with someone refilling him that kept us from pushing at all

#

ofc mortars are less substantial to some degree but still the same level of low skill and unfun countering

#

ironically worse than a sniper

#

also, bf1 arty truck in a corner of the map

do you really want that? along with people who camp with tanks?

u good bro

#

still has the issue of just not having amazing utility/role, grenades and positioning are more than enough for holding down a position temporarily

#

all in for giving support more toys but having more explosives in a 127 v 127 game doesnt feel like the way for it imo

Mortars can REALLY be broken if you know where the enemies are

If the mortar would shoot from short distance, it would be useless. You will get snipped in one second

Maybe we can balance it with reducing the ammo.
In most games, is short the time of recharging a mortar and I think you have 4-5 bombs? I don't know 🙂

Maybe adding a backpack for holding rockets and bombs would be great. Like, you hold the smallest stuff in the pockets and the BIG stuff in the backpack ( also weapons )

I dont really know but maybe a dedicated item for holding big ammo would balance the mortar
