#Integrate Snipers into the gameplay loop a bit more

Well apparently I can't edit the post anymore, so here goes:
Idea 1: bounties
- players are randomly marked with bounties (equal on both teams)
- only Recons can see and claim bounties
- bounties are claimed by killing the marked player, and cause the enemy team to lose a bunch (scaling with kill distance?) of respawn tickets
- If a non-Recon kills a marked player, nothing happens
- Bounties could show up on Recon's map to encourage more mobility
Allows Recons to contribute more meaningfully to the outcome of the match by taking out high-priority targets
Also gives more value to sniper v sniper fights because a dead sniper can't claim bounties
Idea 2: Reduced bullet travel time
- reduces luck component when shooting at moving targets
- the sooner the bullet arrives, the less you have to predict the future
- allows snipers to partake in non-sniper-on-the-hill combat (e.g. control point siege) without being so close they are hopelessly outgunned by anyone with an automatic weapon
- doesn't necessarily have to be an increase to the Velocity weapon stat, correctly predicting the bullet drop at various ranges is a major part of the fun
- a bullet travelling at a higher speed and falling with higher gravity will have shorter travel time while retaining the same drop-over-distance characteristic
I think this is an incredible idea.
Idea 3: Clearer priority targets
- When fighting over a control point as a Recon, I generally want to kill Medics above anyone else
- Geneva convention was just a suggestion
- It is generally next to impossible to tell Medics apart form everyone else
- It would be nice if Recon was able to identify these priority targets, e.g. be able to tell medics apart from other classes
- Goal is to make them visually different from others, but not more visible/noticeable overall, which may be difficult if not impossible without sacrificing some visual or customisation aspect

there is a big update to spotting coming already. This should be a big shift to recon usefulness and gameplay integration.

This part of youre thread has already came and gone, they arent touching the bullet travel time.
Intentionally didn't mention spotting here, with how chaotic this game tends to be, I find spotting to be only useful for sniper-on-the-hill combat to point out enemy snipers, which only reinforces the Recon's separation from everyone else's gameplay loop
Edit: Well, it's useful to point out tanks too sometimes, but that's about it
Wasn't aware of that, but oh well, the first idea is the biggest one in my opinion anyways
