--My Opinion--
After long sessions of tank playing, today I find tanks not necessarily very "fun" / "attractive". Not necessarily very threatening because of the ease with which they can be knocked down. I'll try to explain my reasoning a little more by going through several points.

-- To start with the beugs I've found--

  • #1 As a pilot, it says "press R to reload the machine gun" this option doesn't always work pressing "R" does nothing, to reload the machine gun you have to empty the magazine and wait for it to reload the next one, sometimes it's even possible to reload the machine gun while shooting.
  • #2 As a night spoter, you see absolutely NOTHING, it's impossible to get your bearings, you can't see at all, it's impossible to discern objects, only enemies are bright, but you can't understand where you're looking. Maybe add night vision.
  • #3 As a shooter, it says "right click to aim" this option doesn't work, to aim, or rather, zoom, you have to do "front wheel" "rear wheel". Maybe add night vision.

--Stats modifications--

  • Reduce acceleration speed by 10% (not top speed)
  • Increase pilot's machine-gun rate of fire by 10% (simply a matter of comfort)
  • Increased HP (to survive 1 more rocket heat)

--Suggested modifications --

  • #1 Add a healing box to the tank's buttocks (like the medic's, so that people can come and heal behind the tank) and why not a heavy ammo box, so that the tank can be at the heart of certain pushes, encouraging other players to play around this vehicle more.
  • #2 Currently, Spoteur isn't much fun to play, although it's quite strong, and the fact that it doesn't generate points can generate a lot of frustration and little fun. I'd suggest modifying it slightly, for example, when the spoteur left-clicks on a target, it gets a visual effect that allows the target to be followed, like the current ping for vehicles for example, or others (glowing effect) for 5 seconds, even for infantry, visible only to the tank and the shooter. If the target dies while pinged, the spoteur gains points, perhaps even assisting with the kill. This makes the spoteur post more enjoyable.

  • #3 Second idea for the spoteur, give it the mission of protecting the tank at close range, allowing it to be offensive to targets within 10 meters of the tank (a flame thrower).
  • #4 Increase some of the tank's stats according to the number of players currently in it, making it more attractive to have 3 in the tank. Single shell reload speed 7 seconds, double shell reload speed 5 seconds, triple shell reload speed 3 seconds. Modifications of this kind. Machine-gun reload speed, cannon rotation speed, all these things can be slightly boosted depending on the number of people in the tank.
  • #5 At the moment, I find the tank really TOO threatening for helicopters, it's far too easy for a tank to hit them, whereas those if it are harmless, I suggest reducing the inclination of the cannon, to prevent it from reaching the sky too easily.

  • #6 It's very frustrating to have to cross the whole map to repair, when you see how easy it is to hit a tank, the slightest hit, to be completely repaired, requires you to return to your spawn, which makes it very complicated to push with a tank. To make up for this, I'm proposing to be able to call up a repair box (like in the spawn) costing 200 points, in the same way as a supply drop. This box, like the one at the spawn, has a recharge time before repairing the tank, to avoid camping around it, and has points at its disposal. Let's say the tank has 10,000 VP, a repair box, 5,000 points (1 point per VP) and is able to return 5 shells and 300 rounds of machine-gun ammunition.

  • #7 Increase tank weight, or maybe it's just the physics of the game, but I don't find it normal that when a quad bumps into me, it's able to lift me, or that when an ally pushes me with its car, it's able to drastically change my direction.
  • #8 In combination with idea #4, add 1 gunner station, but in return, reduce the rate of fire of the machine guns by 25%.
  • #9 Currently, when a type of obu is said to be empty, if the change isn't made on its own, I propose that the change be made automatically, by signalling it visually, with a text like "No more Explosive shells left, switch to Armored shells in progress".
  • #10 Currently, for a shooter it's almost IMPOSSIBLE to shoot while the tank is moving, as the camera is moving and shaking all over the place. I suggest adding the possibility of stabilizing the view, as with the pilot.

  • #11 The tank's smoke is useless knowing that when a tank is pink, we're able to follow it even through the smoke, and it's even possible to ping it through the smoke, making its use very anecdotal. I propose, if you want a deffensiv obtion for the tank, an active shield, once activated for 1.5 seconds, rockets arriving 2m from the tank will explode before reaching the tank, drastically reducing the damage it suffers. Recharge time 10 seconds, number of uses 5 before returning to base.

--Things in bulk--

  • Currently, when I play tank, the biggest threat to my tank is the fact that TOO MANY people have C4, especially medics. I think we need to either remove the possibility for medics to play C4 and just give them the hammer so they can move around buildings OR drastically reduce the number of C4 (medics can carry 6).
  • Add a timer for vehicles, so you know when they're going to respawn, so you don't have to wait, looking at the spawn, if you want to play a tank.

A good spotter is great but unless vehicle locking is implemented, giving them more abilities is just going to make it even more annoying when a bored rando gets on it

yea, they should spread out about 5-10m from the tank in a ~120* arc based on where the spotter's looking. It would also encourage a bit more team play if the spotters the only one who can launch smoke

As a main gunner and driver I wouldn't like the Spotter to be able to smoke, he might know more where human flesh and metal is, but it would require more teamplay and a reliable spotter to do that.

If it would be shared like both can use it can be good but sometimes there are salty spotters who troll because they did not get the tank in time

doesnt really matter, if heli is following a pattern or not moving at all.. its gonna receive a tank shell/rpg/etc either way, completely normal, specially when some people think LB is designed to be driven like any other vehicle or blackhawk is only for deploying people on the field (while flying low)

By the time you pick up "decent speed", blackhawk is obliterated by bullets, RPGs, APCs, an armed littlebird or in some cases, a tank

Simply combine the spotter and shooter into one seat. And make some fucking stabilization for the camera
Then it will be possible to show aggressive gameplay and not stand on a hill

I do think the spotter is under used, however i do think its good that using the tank requires decent infantry support & driver awareness.
