In order to make squad leaders a bit more important and force communication in-game (will explain in a sec.), squad-leaders should have the possibility to draw in the map and share this info with squad-members (or even other squad leaders).

I.e. a green, blue and red pen, with which the squad leader can draw on his map and with this, mark either enemy sniper nests or movements and also consider directions and paths, the squad should follow

This would then i.e. also encourage communication towards the squad leader by the team (i.e. enemies incoming from xyz, or Sniper nest at bell tower, etc)

For this communication, it might also help to enable a finer grid on the map, to easier identify and communicate positions ( i.e. enemies coming from A4 towards B3)

@dense dirge This is why I would only let the leader draw and members can toggle the instructions/drawings to avoid spam/inappropriate stuff
And people are also already dropping quite a fair bit or weird stuff via voice chat , which wouldn't be a good reason to turn off voip

Well anyone could make a squad

Who says they won’t make a NSFW drawing
Make a new squad once it’s been toggled off by everyone
And repeat all over again so it shows up again

A better thing would be specific pins that you can place

Tower icon for a tower as an example
Use that to say where snipers are
But limit it to a specific amount of placements so the only way people can draw anything NSFW
They’ll need multiple squads

Like I said, I wouldn't let members add anything at all - they can only receive Infos on the map or choose to not have them displayed.

If leaders can place arrows for directions and some icons (crosshair for snipers , oval to mark maybe an area, etc.) it would be a good start

the report system doesnt do much besides puts them in a timeout until mods review it

Ture not all squads are organized, but enhanced squad commands would be a great feature to have along with directional references on the map screen.

What if squad mates earned a little xp for for going to green, and holding for a time at red pin locations. When SL places a pin, a flywheel lets him specify how many squad mates get xp at that pin. Coordinating team movement with this would be fun because of xp incentive and the pins with how many players are wanted there show up like a ping markers so no need to check map.

Pins could be placed by the ping button somehow, not in the map and preventing spam is easy so you can’t draw nsfw pictures
