Totally agree, I only had this experience when CS:GO was pay-to-play.
It still got his problems with cheaters and so on but i enjoyed that time, one of the last good games that i've played before the pure gaming drought.

The right price for WW3 at the moment is 0€, here's what it's worth.
I don't know about the situation with Valorant, but the fact that you gotta learn all the abilities of the various operators got me sick. Especially because they keep adding characters like Rainbow Six Siege so you really need to follow all that stuff if you want to improve.
About the gunplay, i still prefer CS:GO so i don't know, maybe i'll just stick to some singleplayer.
I've tried Super People too, pretty decent despite all the RNG given by the abilities and the perks.

yep valorant gameplay is slow and the abilities thing is too futuristic and boring to use, R6 was a great game but force you to play hours and hours in order to get all the characters that basically ruined the game

Tbh if you’re not a graphics fiend. Change these things to 0
Effects Quality
Lightning Quality
Mesh Quality
Shader Quality
Shadow Quality
Terrain Quality
Transparent Shadows
Undergrowth
If your performance improves you could raise whatever you want to find your sweet spot. In addition you could lower resolution scale to 0.8 or 0.9 (this can also be done in game via console commands) & texture filtering should be 1
Not to mention if you are on nvidia you could go to the control panel, 3D image settings and enable further performances increase from there. There’s an AMD alternative but I’m unfamiliar
Also something to consider is 2042 is tends to CPU bottleneck and a lot of these settings you’re lowering are GPU intensive and will put more load on CPU. So it could take a lot of tweaking to make it work for your set up personally. Increasing some things COULD give you better performance in some cases. Like texture quality and antialiasing
