R1-R4 are all the reloads a weapon has.

Kills Per Minute is a simple "how many people can be killed with that weapon in a minute".

Effective Firerate (eRPM) considers reloads which are going to be in between the one minute of fire.

There are 2 types of reloads, Drop reload and Keep mag reload, which both have 2 variants, Bullet in chamber and No bullet in chamber.

R1 is the Keep mag + Bullet in chamber reload.

R3 is Keep mag + No Bullet in chamber reload.
R4 is Drop mag + No bullet in chamber reload.

Difference between no bullet vs bullet in chamber is the need to bolt the weapon, which leads to a longer reload

So since dropping the magazine is faster by default this leads to R4 being faster than R3
