I have mixed feelings, from this showcase
some things I liked, some things I did not
I like where they're going with the idea of "evolving" your civ, so you aren't just playing, for example, france since the beginning of time till the end of time
but I don't like how they implemented (subject to change of course) this idea in the showcase
how on earth does it make sense that I, playing egypt, become mongolia at the turn of the era
that's an actual example that was seen in the showcase
aside from that, I like the art style they've shown for the game, the world, the cities and everything. but I'm not a big fan of the weird animation(?) when you meet another civ

Maybe, sadly I said many times - it's better to delay ONE of small weekly updates, people will understand, rather than delay one big awaited since months to another months ahead.
This game has so many mechanics that is very easy to develop further. Equipment system, a skin or two unique skins for some achievements per week and for normal kill-count (but quite high). It's really not much work, and it already gives some people a reason to play.
