Costs of Early Access + insane amount of stuff to do and fix. Game may look very stable and playable but it looks different from the side of backend. For example, scaling servers system, so they are launched and closed when people are joining or leaving. DDoS protection and many other things.
Imagine that this game has cool system - if there are more and more players joining the server, it expands itself for bigger option and bigger maps. If players are leaving it shrink itself to smaller versions 🙂

and well, BF2042 is made by big team, full of... random... people (let me call it this way) and this game is coded by one person. Two others are making maps and models, without being paid yet. As game needs to save money for Early access release.

origins of the story and why i want to make some:
they are awesome.
ive got 9 laptops, i want to make a cluster. but i live in the eu and prices in spain are ok. but even if they dont in the future, this will be like running multiple space heaters. so having a hidrogen generator to runn it could be nice. also when there is backouts to power the fridge would be great. we dont have many but just in case its nice, even for camping and powertools.

ive got the software skills to make the clusters, but i need one of you engeinires to confirm that this isnt a fluke and can infact be made. ive been looking at vids on yt for a wile, and they are all suspiciusly crude. not great guides, terrible videos, or just completely dont explain elements of what they are doing. this one looks rather forward so i was thiking if it can be made

arma 3 imo would be better (if you get it on sale with DLC)

There is only one company that makes hidrogen combustion engines. It's a building company they make excavators and tractors. They have been the only ones to release something ready to purchase afaik. Like Toyota's hidrogen cars are non combustion they use another method, which I'm not interested in, since I can't make my own.

you'll face challenges with obtaining and storing hydrogen effectively and this will remain the case for many years to come

it's not as fun but a petrol or diesel generator is more suitable for your use cases if you're expecting blackouts etc

Ye, battery storage is something I also had I'm mind, specially for critical servers having a battery to back it up. Or having it when doing a bios update. Very useful. But expensive and expires easyly (like, a new better battery will be available the next year)

I really badly wanna permanently make the move to Linux but until a distro comes out that by default copies the taskbar to my 2nd monitor I will continue to suffer the wrath of windows 11
