If the pack is only a couple hundred megabytes, you can upload the zip through the web UI instead of using SFTP.

There is a separate password for the billing system and for the control panel.

Both are accounts so I'm not sure which one you're referring to.

It's all the same instructions, just how you get that zip file onto the server changes.

That's what the instructions say to do?

It says to make a zip with all the folders, and when you unzip it they will match up and replace the contents.

Don't second guess the instructions, that's usually how people get in trouble.
