Hey. If you're just updating, just press "install new jar on top of existing files". That will just update minecraft itself and keep all the other files.

If you want to start fresh, you'd use the "delete files" or "store existing files in empty instance" option. But in your case your files are too large for an instance

You can always just download the files to your own PC if you want to keep them save

So just install new JAR, gotcha, world remains or do i need to do everything else from scratch

Its your choice if you want to keep your world and update, or if you want to delete everything and start from scratch
