I have a server for Hytale and when my friend tries to join its onjly failure to connect. I had the same problem but I had to change the game mode in the config settings from exploration to adventure for my hytale to connect to the server.

Are you receiving any errors in the console, that may indicate to the reason why they may not be able to connect?
