#Setting up a server

6 to start and if you need more you can always add the new ram on later without hurting your server.
The website will help to estimate how much is needed based on modpack and player count.
And you can add/remove whenever needed with just a restart.
It estimates 10 but that’s quite a bit more than planned. I’ll try 6!
question, it only says I can do 7, 8, 10 or higher, as I'm doing it through the website, and it has an option for this modpack
i dont think i can afford THAT much
I know they started putting a floor on how much someone can order, from a lot of people starting too low for the modpack to even start.
Looks like if you lie and say you'll only have 4 players it will let you select 6GB, but with a warning.
Ok! Thank you!!
once I buy the server, how long is the process to actually get to play it? Is this a project for like, 2 hours tonight? or is this a wait till tomorrow and spend the day doing it
once the server is provisioned to you, usually like 0 minutes after the payment is approved. you then wait for BMC4 to install, that takes about 5 minutes, and then on first run of the server, it takes about 30 minutes to fully initialize. then you can play it.
Okay! Do I need to do anything extra behind that? Like anything for the world or settings? I plan to play the mod pack as is, and if possible, it would be nice to have admin, but I know servers are weird with that stuff sometimes
(only know about ark ascended servers)
absolutely nothing then
you can become admin in the console with op kam and when you tire of that deop kam
!whitelist
For Java servers:

For Bedrock servers:
<https://www.bisecthosting.com/clients/index.php?rp=/knowledgebase/155/-How-to-allowlist-a-Minecraft-Bedrock-server-.html >
Allowlisting (or Whitelisting in older versions) players on a Minecraft Bedrock server helps ensure that only trusted and approved players can join the server, which can help prevent griefing, hack...
That would also be a good idea.
