So, me and my friends bought a server with 18 of ram to play the prominence 2 hasturian era modapack and the First days everything was calm and normal, no lag, everything was fine, but when the 24th arrived the lag problems began, the server has never been overloaded in terms of resources, but the tps or the ping of the servers were terrible, we used jvm arguments, we restarted, we made optimizations to see how it is, in the end nothing worked and we decided to change the location of the server for a closer one, But the problem persists and we are already getting tiredextraworried

Sometimes the tps are in 20 but they suddenly drops to 10 or less

Hiya! Can you try running a spark report to see what can be causing the TPS issues? The report gives us more info to go off on (:

How to provide a Spark sampler.

  1. Stop your server.
  2. Download Spark: https://spark.lucko.me/download
  3. Upload the mod to your server:
    Filemanager > mods (for modded servers)
    or Filemanager > plugins (for plugin based servers)
    (Just drag & drop the file)
  4. Start the server.
  5. Use the command /spark profiler --only-ticks-over 70
  6. Wait 10-15 minutes.
  7. Use the command /spark profiler stop
  8. Copy the link it generates and paste it here.

The TPS looks decent in this spark report, and the majority of the resources are from chunk ticks or world ticks. Are you or anyone else exploring when you get the issue with tps by chance?

What usually happens during these times, like are players doing anything, are there any mob farms, etc?

Rn there are no mobs farms, We're Exploring or exploring dungeons or just chilling in our zone were we all live

And sometimes the lag happens or exploring or when we are just chilling

With exploration, I would recommend pregenerating the world with chunky cus that will help with the lag caused by going to new places.
