I think you might be looking at the wrong panel, there's 2. One is the billing panel where you can see orders, active services etc, and the other one is the control panel where you actually manage the server files etc.

Like I said, separate accounts. If you could login to the other panel with these credentials, thats not the right login for this. You likely don't have an account for this panel yet

Using the same email and password I can log in and this is what I see, but when I try from the link you sent me it won't let me in

If you want to log in to the control panel, yes.
If your friend invited you to the control panel you should have gotten an email that helps you to set it up.
