@patent cairn pls assist <3
Please don't ping people for help, community support only jumps in where they can and Ceridwen has said she's at work. You haven't posted a question, since your original message got deleted, so there's nothing to assist with without any info
!moreinfo
When asking for assistance in Discord, it's best to provide as many details as possible. Please include information such as what is running on your server, errors in the console, logs, any recent changes, etc.
If you are not familiar with any of that, it's best to create a support ticket. Once you create a support ticket, our staff will be able to take a look at your server and see what's going on. You can create a support ticket at any time at https://bisecthosting.com/support
No.
Tickets are effectively realtime. They also don't need to screenshare, since they have access to your server directly.
question tho
how come when i try to use java version 17 for fabric 0.17.3 it doesnt work
keeps saying unsupported java version
Fabric 0.17.3 is available for a wide range of Minecraft versions... Which one are you trying to use?
Do you need Fabric 0.17.3, or will 0.18 work?
0.18 didn't have a lot of breaking changes, and you can automatically install that through the Minecraft Jar section of the control panel.
the modpack is made in 17.3 and its a bunch of mods so i doubt it
tried to do 0.18 but it kept crashing
Why was it crashing?
trying to replicate the error

That looks like BetterCombat is possibly for the wrong version of Minecraft.
!llogs ⬇️
Please send some logs over so we can help resolve your issue. To access logs on your Minecraft server, please navigate to your server panel's File Manager and take the following path:
1. Open the Server's File Manager
2. Navigate inside the 'logs' folder
3. Click on "latest.log" to download it and send the file over Discord to this channel.
Yeah, I'm not seeing anything where bettercombat says it doesn't like the newer version of Fabric... But they did change something in 1.18 that, if it's bugged, could maybe cause this.
Here's the instructions for putting a specific version of Fabric on:
https://help.bisecthosting.com/hc/en-us/articles/40450396960411-How-to-Install-Fabric-on-a-Minecraft-Server
BisectHosting
Installing Fabric on a Minecraft server provides a lightweight and flexible modding platform that enhances the game with a various mods without significantly impacting performance. Fabric's modular...
we are past this stage tho
I'm saying since you wanted to install Fabric 0.17.8, there's the instructions on how to install that instead of 0.18.
hey how do i proceed with a refund
!ticket ⬇️ Have to ask ticket staff. But they could also install the pack for you.
Need assistance? Our support team is here for you 24/7/365! You can easily create a ticket by clicking this link 🥰 https://help.bisecthosting.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
Then reply to the email.
We try to not post raw ticket info since it tends to include personal info.
Reply back to the email you got when the ticket was replied to. 🙂
also when i try to submit when i try to add to conversation it says access denied might wanna look into that
They just switched ticket services a couple weeks ago. That's been inconsistent enough they're still trying to track it down.
nice!
for future reference
would it be possible to get in a call with someone to get help setting up the server
or is that not part of the service
Nope. But staff will "just do it" if you send them the URL for a published pack or export from the launcher.
wait so
like
a modpack thats shared from forge
they can "just do it" for our server?
what do i have to provide the team
The export from whatever launcher you used to build the pack.
I thought this was a Fabric server, not Forge?
Oh! Yeah, CurseForge and Forge are separate things.
I think so? Ask in your ticket, they'll let you know if the share code is enough or if they need the zip.
thank u ur the best
i just asked them
do u reckon 5 gigs was good for a 150 mod mp
should be right
Mod count doesn't really help. Some take up a lot by themselves, others actually reduce memory usage.
