The server jar itself seems to be missing.

#

Go into the Minecraft Jar menu and hit Reinstall with Keep Files and that should fix it.

raven turret
#

what kind of jar file would i need then?

#

ok

#

how do i change the seed?

sour mango
#

Stop the server, set the seed you want in Server Properties, delete the world folder, start the server.

sour mango
#

Can't find what?

raven turret
#

there was a section i could click on to change it within the menu's and not have to change a file

#

i think it used to be in startup

sour mango

That is the startup tab, I said Server Properties.

raven turret
#

there is no server properties on my side tab

sour mango
#

Have you started the server yet?

raven turret
#

Don't think so

sour mango
#

That would be why, then. It doesn't show if the file doesn't exist yet.

raven turret
#

ok

raven turret
#

Same modpack... So i don't know what's wrong

sour mango
#

Note in the console output that no mods are actually loading - it's just bare NeoForge.

raven turret
#

huh...

#

weird

sour mango
#

Make sure when we reinstalled the modloader that it didn't clear the mods folder.

raven turret
#

is there a way I can completly wipe this all, add the mods again, and import the seed?

#

because I did as you instructed

sour mango
#

You're already 3/4 of the way there.

#

The seed is in place, the modloader is working.

#

There's no need to wipe current progress.

raven turret
#

I don't know why the old_2025 folder is there

sour mango
#

It's any file that got overwritten when you did the reinstall.

#

It's how the trash can system works.

raven turret
#

should i delete that folder then?

sour mango
#

Why?

#

Leave it until things are working in case you need to fetch stuff out of it.

raven turret
#

ok

sour mango
#

You're getting distracted - are the mods in the mods folder?

#

(I'm getting ready for bed, so either we hurry or you wait for someone else to wander along.)

raven turret
#

Aparently not. I thought the folder, I just mentioned, would sufice

sour mango
#

You should be able to get the mods back out of there, yes.

#

Just use the Trash button.

#

Or re-unzip them, whichever.

raven turret
#

ok they are everywhere in that previous file. Do I know why, nope, because i put everything into the Mods folder

sour mango
#

The reinstall probably cleared the mods folder as part of the reinstall.

raven turret
#

ok

#

I'm importing the mods again

sour mango
#

Don't forget the configs and any other folders from the modpack, too.

raven turret
#

Why wasn't this mentioned eairler?

#

I thought I only needed to place mods into the mods folder?

sour mango
#

!custommodpack ⬇️

sour mango
#

The instructions on how to install modpacks says to grab more than just the mods folder.

raven turret
#

I'm pretty sure it's all the same. I started, then stoped the server, imported the seed, then i'm here with you adding the mods.

#

Also wherever this was It's not available in the website. i've never seen this '-'

sour mango
#

It's on the website.

#

Knowledgebase is where most companies keep the how-to articles.

#

Not sure what you saw earlier that wasn't this.

raven turret
sour mango
#

The mod Sounds doesn't go on servers.

raven turret
#

ok

sour mango
#

ShulkerBoxTooltip also doesn't go on servers, but it may not cause a crash.

raven turret
#

is it going to affect me if I have it listed in the modpack for friends to use

sour mango
#

Some mods just go on the client side.

#

The server doesn't care.

raven turret
#

Ok, server is up

sour mango
#

And vice-versa.

raven turret
#

lemme see if it crashes ;-;

raven turret
#

I'm, but wrong seed...

#

wait maybe its the right one, but i spawned in a differnt area

#

how do you make someone an operator

sour mango
#

!minecraftop ⬇️

sour mango
raven turret
#

where would that be?

sour mango
#

By default, it's the folder named world.

raven turret
#

Ok i'm going to stop the server and delete the files in that folder

#

IT WORKED
