They added hardcore to Bedrock a year ago today.
Looks like you have to create the hardcore world locally then upload it.

That kind of defeats the purpose of hardcore.
At that point, just set and self-enforce a penalty for having died? Or are you trying to do something like Hermitcraft's Demise where once everyone has died once it goes back to normal?

For Java you have to hand-edit the world files. Dunno if anything like that is possible for Bedrock.

No, that means take a singleplayer/local world and put it on the server.
Vs. one you downloaded from somewhere.
