How to install optifine on my modded server ?

i just created my server in 1.21.4 with a realm world that me and some friends have played since a monthe now,, i want to have mods but also optifine, how can i do ?

what is the best version to install mods cool mods like furniture cars planes and more..?

do i need to install optifine in the forge file on my control pannel ?

im new to this minecraft server thing so sorry if im wrong

You don't. Optifine just goes on the players' side.

If a player doesn't want it, they don't need it.

As far as adding mods - first thing is to get what you want working single-player.

i can't launch MC with optifine and join the serv i need forge but how can i have optifine and run the game with forge ? srr if im stupid or something xd

and for the mods, you meen that i need to verify in single player if the mod is working befre adding it to the serv ? the 1.21.4 seems to be poor in mods what version should i go with ?

You just put the Optifine download in the mods folder and Forge loads it like a mod.

That's the easiest way to put together mods to play with, yeah.

If there are a few mods you really want, use those to figure out what Minecraft versions to look at.

So like, if you really want Create, see which versions they currently are working on.

wen i put the optifine 1.21.4 in my mods folder the server refuse to start..

and also, do i need to install only mods that are server side or if i put a mod that said client it will work anyway ?

As was stated you do NOT put optifine on the server

OF is a client Side only mod. Putting it on the server causes the server to crash

You ONLY put it in the mods folder on the CLIENT

if i do that i can't join the server because im not runing my game with forge in the MC launcher

Just take the modpack you already use to join and drop optifine in the mods folder
