Due to the nature of servers, this can happen due to dozens of reasons. When asking for assistance in Discord, it's best to provide as many details as possible—providing information such as what is running on your server, errors in the console, logs, any recent changes, etc.
If you are not familiar with any of that, it's then best to create a support ticket. Once you create a support ticket, our staff will be able to take a look at your server and see what's going on. You can create a support ticket at any time at https://bisecthosting.com/support
my colleagues cannot access the server and they are seeing this error
lost connection: Internal Exception: io.netty.handler.codec.EncoderException: io.netty.util.IllegalReferenceCountException: refCnt: 0

Please send some logs over so we can help resolve your issue. To access logs on your Minecraft server, please navigate to your server panel's File Manager and take the following path:
1. Open the Server's File Manager
2. Navigate inside the 'logs' folder
3. Click on "latest.log" to download it and send the file over Discord to this channel.
Can you try connecting, get the error, and than close your game and resend it?
but what should I send? Screenshot of the error. Reset Minecraft and upload the logs again.
The latest log is just fine :)
ok, it's working now, I checked, sorry for the confusion
okay
This is usually caused by a mismatched mod set between the client and the server.
Gotta use the (same) modpack to connect to a modded server.
That means same version of the pack, too.
I don't know what it is, but when I go to Curseforge, I have a normal sodium craving and it looks completely different, and when I have a server on this hosting, it looks different
Sodium craving?
Whatever modpack you have selected on the server, you have to launch to play.
So if the server is running All The Mods 10 version 2.20, you also need to be on 2.20
this is fantasy mod pack
Can you make me a ready-made fantasy pack? Because when I run it, it doesn't start and I must be doing something wrong
Aren't you running a ready-made pack?
And no, commissioning modpacks here isn't allowed.
but it's not the same as on curseforge and there are lower fps
What do you mean for me? I've never run this pack?
This is the modpack, and what you should be (and appears to be) running to connect to the server:
https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/modpacks/fantasy-minecraft-fabric
yes, but I don't know why it looks different than on Curveforge
What do you mean "looks different"?
.
That's plain Minecraft, not the modpack.
You use the modpack to connect to the server running the modpack.
yes, but overall the graphics are different than sodium nested Curveforge
Because you're launching the wrong thing.
Launch the modpack like you were playing single player, then hit Multiplayer there and connect to the server.
Also, I still have no idea what you mean by "sodium nested".
I meant sodium
Not sure why you're mentioning it separately from the modpack.
You have to have the WHOLE modpack to connect to the server, not just Sodium.
well, I only have such a package on curveforge, an error was displayed and I created a new package with all the mods from the server and it worked, but it looked different
Correct - you use CurseForge to launch the game that you then use to connect to the server.
I don't know
Make sure your copy in CurseForge is current.
it only showed up for me, so I created a new package only with mods from this server
Don't - just install the modpack from CurseForge.
.
and where should I put it?
Then it should work.
You didn't change anything in the modpack, right? Added any other mods?
probably not, I reinstalled
Try it now that you reinstalled.
how to disable pvp with players on the server
Option 1: Stop server, change it in the Server Properties, start server.
Option 2: Learn how teams work, add everyone to the same team, use the /scoreboard command to turn off friendlyfire for the team.
hey, and if I have fantasy mods loaded, I can remove them and add others?
Generally, removing mods requires also resetting the world.
But yes, you can switch to a different modpack.
I just wouldn't do it by swapping out mods of the server as-is.
but if I have a mod from curveforg I have it in one folder and I just have to put it there?
modpack
!custommodpack ⬇️
If the modpack is in the Minecraft Jar menu, just pick it there. If not, pick the modloader you need, then put the files from the server pack on the server.
and should I delete everything from this server?
If you're switching to a new modpack, yes.
Make sure if you want to keep anything you grab it first.
ye
its cyberduck
I don't know Polish.
Looks like you picked using an SSH key instead of username + password.
