#PREMIUM 8GB RAM PLAN
43 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
it's usually a xeon
there is no cpu difference betweeen premium and budget.
and ram version
can i get the accurate model name of the cpu
how many players the 8gb ram plan can handle
maybe 300 maximum?
no
it will never
it comes down to how lucky you are with the cpu, and your optimization
60 plugins max optimization
mmh maybe 20-25? there are many variables not every server is the same, soo it's hard to guess.
hmm
i'm not really sure as the cpu plays a lot on that and you need to guess that xD
@tropic folio if it helps, BH never oversells. if they have metal server that has 64GB on it, they'll at max slice it up for Eight 8GB servers. They usually manage the core allotment as well so other accounts on the same machine can't soak up the cpu.
if you need to know for sure open a general ticket.
if your definition of oversell as long as the machine ram usage is under 75% than sure
it doesn't matter, tho 🙂
if you need specific stats, open the general support ticket.
if you have server and it's suffering open a regular ticket. if you're a customer, maybe don't use general support, use the regular ticket for that too.

Going on about the hardware in regards a make-believe situation doesn't help anything here except to cast shade and doubt.
if you got a massive server somewhere else and you want to move it here and don't have an account open a general ticket and let them know what you got. they are humans. they will work with you if you articulate your needs.
the shade and doubt comes because bisect hosting doesn't say the specific models, it's like saying i have a ford, but there are many ford... you feeling me, it's ok
They have many machines
Xeons of at least 3.4ghz on ddr4
And they aren't saying the equivalent of "we use intel (or rather ford)"
They say "we are using xeons (or mustang gt 5.0s)"
There's a difference to say a brand name over a model name
From what we have seen from logs, Xeon, Epyc, and when everything was in shortage a couple years back, some Ryzen 5800/5900/5950 boxes.
^^ Bare Min is Xeons, then other chips from the Epyc series, Ryzen 3000 series and then 5000/7000 series. All machines were currently setting up are 7000 series (I.e any server we add to the racks @ the data center); the chip your server specifically uses is one of them at random; since we have 1000s of machines a exact listing is a bit hard 😅
please read what you just said
but it's ok.. the idea is that there are many generations of xeons, and different models
