If I found network access bypass and post example of usage to example scripts, will it be fixed? (I just want to use network functions and don't want them to be fixed.)

probably will be fixed because doing that is unsafe

why haven't you just made a mod already, you are well past the point your life would be easier if you did it the right way

I don't understand why you want to make a kubejs add-on to access the internet when you've been told that it is explicitly disabled in kubejs FOR A REASON.... make a mod for your modpack, like most modpacks do, that does the internet things you want to do

simple palm

how are you going to keep that safe

stop trying to make kjs something it doesn't want to be

imo

it's unsafe to do so

#

who knows, what if people use "netjs" to give you a virus when you join a server

Hmm, Lat wanted to add very limited access to net, but almost immediately changed his mind. I wonder why? #archived-support-1-16 message

[Quote ➤](#archived-support-1-16 message) I will give very limited access to io and net

The only idea that comes to mind is that someone will write a Miner on kubejs and get mining task and send mining results using net.

#

But this is absurd. If a person has the skills to write a Miner on kubejs, then he certainly has enough skills on the mod. And the performance of a JavaScript miner is a very wired question.

You ever heard of an RCE exploit?

#

Remotely execute code that was not authorized to be on the system.

#

Connecting to the internet allows for this is be a possibility

A miner isn’t the worst of our worries.
Downloading malware, viruses, or worms is the worst of our worries
