you can just modify the textures directly if theyre added with KJS.
but yes you can do it with a resource pack too
the textures that were added are somewhere in /kubejs/assets/
to find the exact path, you need to look at the startup scripts and see what the item/block IDs are and if they have a custom texture path or not
ok so
in the kubejs folder the filepath is
minecraft/kubejs/assets/createastral/textures/item/andesite_compound.png
however
if i replicate that
it doesnt work
im not sure i understand what you mean
all you have to do is delete that texture and replace it with the one you want in this case, and name it appropriately
this is the filepath in the instance itself
i do not want to replace the texture in the instance itself
i want to use a resource pack to override it so i can share it with my friends
still cant figure it out 😭
I dont really have any experience on making those, as far as I know you just copy the folder structure. either way this is a vanilla related question, rather than KJS, so you should find more info on the minecraft wiki https://minecraft.fandom.com/wiki/Resource_pack
no
i know how to do resource packs
i just dont know how the kubejs filepath works
i bet it doesnt even work with resource packs and you just have to change them manually
its not though cause kubejs stores the shit in a different fodler
the assets folder is simple
lemme get a screenshot
simple as that
its literally just a resource pack
just how you'd use it normally
if you looked inside a mod's jar, you'd notice its literally the exact same structure, where it is, is irrelevant, it gets loaded the same way.
modify what files
if i kubejs/textures/insertitemnamehere it doesnt work
because there is another subfolder
and if i add the subfolder it doesnt work
yeah because if you put it in a subfolder you have to specify it in the script
i didnt make this im just tryna modify a texture from a modpack
see like this doesnt work
does your resourcepack path match the path of the texture in kjs assets?
which asset from c:astral are you trying to modify
this too
yes
andesite compound
the filepath is
what does it say in the registry scripts? did you change anything and move something to a different folder?
or are you making a seperate resource pack
yes
if you're making a seperate resource pack you can try to prioritize it in the menu
so this is the root folder for item textures, theres no subfolders
so how would i designate an item in a resource pack to follow that path
item/andesite_compound
your resource pack has to have the same filepath as put in the kubejs assets
oops
because your path is wrong
try just doing /Astral - Corn/assets/createastral
still doenst work
did you prioritize it?
yeah its at the top
hm
let me double check i spelled andesite compound right
you can try just changing it directly from the kubejs assets ig
the issue is that i wanted to share it with my friends
ah ye
whatever i guess i can just walk them through how to do it
kinda dissapointed but oh well
