Did you guys see or hear anything while the event was happening?

I saw the boat behind the stage, didn’t see it leave or crash into the bridge though. I did see all the emergency vehicles outside the venue, and I heard about it after the event from one of the people I met while I was en route to The Great Hall.

Now that I have the knowledge of what happened, I feel so sad. My heart goes out to the victims’ loved ones.

Lol! Yeah it all depends on the venue and who’s doing the event. Open Air Dc is done by Anjuna with Nu Androids and this year they added VIP. It was basically just a huge section. With some Stand up tables, a private bar, and a weird gazebo with “table seating” under it, but it was positioned so that you could catch every artists walking on or off the stage. Was def worth it for me. Plus the bartenders gave away a lot of free drinks since it was my bday.

There are plenty of shows tho where VIP isn’t always worth it

Seeing the the fire rescue and hearing what happened definitely stopped me from going to brooklyn after the pier 17 event. Didnt want to get stuck coming or going

Yeah they are definitely Anjuna Legends in their own right. I can remember listening to their stuff in the 2010-2020 decade. They’ve come so far and still remain a staple of the Anjuna family. It took me years just to make sure I was say their name right 🤣🤣🤣. If you ever need to know “Eli” is pronounced “El-eye” (I went thru phases of “oh it’s definitely Eee-Lie; no no, it’s definitely Elly) 🤣🤣🤣. And of course Fur is just “Fur”. As in “bad dog! You got fur everywhere”

They were so sweet and nice too. I had spaced on the fact that they are British too. The accents are just lovely. Even if you can only see Eli (she often travels and does solo performances under the duo name) it’s still worth every penny. Fur is definitely the “Wildcard” of the two. She has a super quirky sense of humor and 15min into the set kicks off her shoes and stars downing Modelos 🤣
