So I have a gross, rough version of the info site done, minus a bunch of content and with a few bugs I need to fix. But safe to say that it will be "ready" by the time anyone actually needs it.

Unlikely. There has always been some warning beforehand. The only reason to do it tomorrow would be to stick with the original "January" date, and there is basically no reason to do that. It's a festival held in July; whether tickets and sold in January or February make no material difference unless you're trying to get your sales in a particular fiscal quarter, which seems unlikely to be a motive here since it takes weeks to actually sell the tickets.

My guess is they'll give a hard date for ticket sales tomorrow, probably one or two weeks out.

Did anyone here do VIP last year? Curious if the view is good - it seems off center where you won’t see the stage/artist as well? 🤔

I did! Tbh I didn't think the view was worth it. It was off to the side and a bit far away, and the sound quality at the front of the area where you cna see the stage and crowd was not good. I found myself down in the pit more often than up in the VIP area.

Really the VIP area was good for chilling on the couches under the bit of shaded over that the area offered during the day when the sun was roasting us. Oh also the A/C'd washrooms was nice to escape the heat too lol

All in all I didn't think it was worth the extra cost, personally

I got VIP last year and it was definitely worth it to me for the following reasons. 1) it was the only area with shade in the venue by the main stage. Also yuck, I don't like the ethics of people paying more for something like shade when it's so oppressively hot... 2) They gave free refills to your CamelBak with ice water and it was fucking amazing having that cold water 3) Proper bathrooms with a/c, mirrors, flushable toilets, AND they were always clean. Going into those bathrooms in the heat was glorious with the A/C heh 4) In the evenings when it was super crowded at mainstage, vip had a lot of breathing room. This is just my personal preference because I don't like being in crowds. If I went again I would definitely do VIP

AFAIK GA has never sold out

It just goes up in price slightly

maybe $10 to $20 extra in the later rounds

Of course there's also always people trying to off-load tickets at or below cost in july as they have drop outs from their group or something comes up

I ended up with a GA ticket that was a total waste last time, for instance.

And I was hardly the only one

In the unlikely event I do go this year I'll probably just buy tickets off someone

Last year we had people just, flat out giving away VIP tickets because it was too late to try and sell them and they were going to go unused otherwise.

Although if anyone can get me a price list for this years tickets, I'd be grateful so work them into the website for next time as a ballpark figure.

Not sure how notable it is, but the email link opens up livenation which I've read is the same as ticketmaster, although I've never really used LN before. Searching up GTW on TM gives me the same countdown page to pre-sale, so for those like me that would rather do it through TM it seems to be possible

For those that use ticketmaster, after buying through live nation (which can sign you into your TM account), the venue and camping tickets will show up twice on the TM app, not sure why but in my case it looks like both the venue and camping ticket I bought are there.

Kinda scared me into thinking I accidentally bought 4 tickets but the money adds up

Hey @indigo mist just to give props where it's due... I'm sure I wasn't alone in the thought of ticketmaster making a right pickle of the gorge ticket sales this year.. but I don't know a single person that had any real issues getting what they needed, we all waited in the queue, got our tickets camp spots and any extras and were done within 10 minutes. that's about 30 people in 2 different countries, pass the thanks along to whoever needs to see it.

I think all of us were nervous about the whole process. Last time we had people scrambling for camp passes everywhere! So yeah, cheers 🙂

that's where the hike to the river starts (by the pool)... be warned, if you wanna do the hike you need to take a lot of fluids!

Yeah renting an RV is the first thing I did before car rental and airfare. If there are limited options, just keep checking once a week. It’s common for new RVs to come onto the rental market and your best bet is catching one of those.

Ive never experienced a warm up party like this (also my first A&B event) and im super excited! What are the vibes at the warm up? Is it worth ensuring im there early enough to attend the whole thing?

I loved the warmup party. The way I did it, our party arrived at the gorge in the late afternoon, set up camp, had some drinks, and then headed over to the venue. I thought it was a great way to ease into the weekend and get excited for the following days

I wouldn't say it's essential, you're gonna have two full days of Anjuna to keep you satisfied, but it's a really fun way to get the weekend started

Here's a photo I grabbed from last year's warmup set. They do it out in the grass away from the main stage, so it's a little more low key, just people dancing in the grass and kinda vibing

The Friday Warm Up party last year was probably my favourite part of the weekend. Temperature was perfect, and the more laid back vibe was incredible.

I did find that it took a bit away from the usual campground party hopping that I was used to from previous times at the Gorge. That was a bit different for sure.

Also the Fatum Eurodance food truck party that was held after the Warm Up party concluded was next level. Probably the most fun I've ever had at a set (which I then paid for the next day 🥴 😂 ).

Hi everyone! A few of you have reached out about hosting your own activities (i.e. workshops) during the Weekender at the Gorge, and so we're officially opening it up for submissions via the form below. Whether you've hosted a workshop before or just have a great idea, and from the standard to the niche - we want to hear from you.

Workshops will be scheduled in the campsite between 10am and 5pm on Saturday and Sunday. You’ll be able to select preferred times in the form, as well as add in more info if your idea needs to occur outside of those timings (i.e. stargazing, sunrise yoga).

If your proposal is chosen, we'll cover your tickets to the festival along with standard camping. If you've already purchased your tickets, not to worry - we'll sort you out.

Hopefully this is the right thread for this question. The last time I was at the gorge was 10 years ago, but this will be my first weekender. Do y'all think this hydration pack would be allowed in? It's about 15" x 8".
I've read about some getting denied for being too big or too many pockets.

@pseudo roost tough to say, they've been pretty inconsistent overall. I've had friends with smaller bags than mine get denied. Ive been able to consistently get through with an oversized bag by putting everything into a ziplock which I pull out at the checkpoint. Saves me and security a bit of time looking through everything and has allowed me to get in with bigger bags than the venue typically allows.

Looks like the Anjunafam Dome and Camp Anjuna are the campsite party spots. Hoping there are plenty of headsets for the Club Quarantine silent disco as that's been an issue for Gorge events in the past. Very happy to see these events going till 4 am Saturday!

Not a huge fan of the 15 minute changeovers for Kasablanca but I think it'll be worth it to see their live set.

Looks like Bayer is closing down Solo day 1 after Mat Zo had to cancel. Hoping we still get a lot of fresh Bayer tunes this time around. I'd love to see him play a crunchier set to close out the show compared to his more emotional sets he's played in the sunset slot.

Curious to see what the Lounge is, hoping that's available to everyone and not just VIP pass holders.

If you want to attend the after parties, there's a good chance you can buy a GA camping pass off someone for very cheap on the day of the event. You can then use that camping pass to park your vehicle near the pivot. Drive to the venue's parking lot initially and then park near the pivot when the venue closes (i.e. after the music is over).

Yeah I have some health issues that make sleeping on a real mattress a necessity, especially when doing several days of shows haha. I have taken to just air drying the t shirts and some hoodies that have that are just printed logos. I think it’s the dryer that makes them crack, even though I dry everything on delicate

Jerseys I always hang dry too. The abgt500 hoodie is all stitched so should be good to dry, but I hang dry that too

@lethal smelt @stuck bridge I think it’s their vendor printing methods. My partner hung his 500 shirt and it still cracked. They probably need to move to like, a hand screen printing facility/have their vendors use different types of inks. Unicorn Empire (fandom shop) for example has high quality shirts and I’ve never had issues with any of their merch

But it’s like 90% artist t’s I have issues with due to their printing. I got an mcr shirt that I literally have to frame because it apparently fades after the first wash 😭
