suggestions to improve dating for nonbinary characters

I made the mistake of making a lustful nonbinary person, and every npc on KLEG has told me they arent interested in nonbinary people. My character is now extremely desperate. In my experience, being nonbinary is a pretty broad range of genders and expressions, and a lot of monosexual people are at least somewhat attracted to some nonbinary people who have gender crossover with their preferred gender, so it feels like there should be more npcs who are attracted to nonbinary people in the game. but also where are the pansexual npcs? it would be helpful if there was some kind of dating app where you could match with npcs in the local sector who you have compatible orientations. or if there was some kind of hookup app for characters who are loners but want to get it on. there obviously ARE dating apps in universe because the character creation screen is based on one. unless I have just completely missed it in game? my apologies if thats the case.

To add, what about sexual characters who have no interest in NPC interactions whatsoever. Or the space hobo loner who thinks other people are icky and have to be avoided. That's be awesome.

are you asking if there are 0 nonbinary npcs because ive seen a couple. mayve like 5-10% of the population on kleg

cause it'd be an easy bug to have added it for the player but not for other NPC's.

There are nonbinary NPCs. Just killed one. (For being a dirty pirate who attacked me, not because they were nb)

The problem is probably that attraction is a set of toggles. It should have been scales or a triangle. Not all people are straight as a rail.

Sounds more like a 'perk' in a game like this.

I think it’s less that it’s toggles and more that the toggles may not be properly set yet

There should be a toggle for that, it just may not be getting applied to non-PC’s.

I don't pay attention to the emotional states enough to know. It's playable at least. I usually run ace with chaste trait

I think this is frankly just a symptom of a much much LARGER issue, the game has some trouble with actually randomizing puppets. Ive noticed there's a habit with puppets often ending up with the same traits, with almost entire stations ending up asthmatic and oblivious. When starting a new save .14 seemed to have a heavy bias towards starting the PC as male, while .15 seems to have a bias to starting character gen as female. Whatever sudo random function the game uses doesn't seem to be random enough.

Actually, now that I think about it, every single .14 save ive ever started was on my PC, and .15 saves have all been ok my laptop, so the difference might not even be a version thing.

You can just get intimacy through a computer like a freak or spam touch people. There's hugs too, there are ways to get intimacy without being romantic or sexual.

ive never seen the hug option come up, even with friends. is there a higher req for shy characters?
