If you are connecting a device to a sensor (heater to a thermostat for example) and can't find one, my expected behaviour is to hit escape and have it stop trying to connect to anything. Doing that causes a near full-screen blank UI window to pop up that can't be closed using the "X". I eventually manage to get it closed by trying a bunch of different things (forget which one was the one that actually worked), but ideally there should be a clear way to have the connection just stop trying to connect that's clear to the user. As I mentioned, my go-to was "can't find the sensor you want? hit escape".

Thanks for the heads-up!
I agree that the UI should gracefully fail/exit in this case. I'll log this and try those repro steps.
