the hardest part involves getting the opposite version exclusive paradox legendaries (seriously getting raging bolt and gourging flame via trades was all kinds of ass.)

I have no idea if one of my teammates just gave me an item using Trick or Bestow or some other ability and I just didn’t notice or the animation didn’t play. That’s my only theory.

That mechanic really bugs me though. It was the perfect chance to tell us when a pokemon was shiny just by looking at it, which would have been so useful for the smaller ones, but they dropped the ball and the feattutis overall pretty useless.

They let us see if a Pokemon is bigger or smaller than average, but we still don't know if it's maxor min size until we check with the npc. Anyone who's actively looking for min/max size pokemon already knows what they catch is bigger/smaller cuz they're using humungo/tiny powers.
So overall the feature is only useful if you're looking for pokemon with marks, or specifically shiny hunting pokemon with a gender specific Evo.

Kingambit can do thunder wave and false swipe. Ceruledge and iron valiant can get false swipe and hypnosis, with ceruledge having the benefit of being ghost type for Pokemon with double edge so they don't die to recoil.
