Six star Tera raids are so annoying, because (thanks to the move pool/Tera type disconnect) you need to choose, WITHOUT KNOWING AHEAD OF TIME, a bulky sweeper that won’t be super affected by any of its moves and POTENTIALLY Tera blast, but you need to have your Pokémon also either terastalize into an opposing type or be able to sweep so hard it breaks the shield anyway - the only pogeys that fit this criteria are iron hands and azumarill

Well Iron Bundle and Flutter Mane were banned to Ubers, but the three best Paradox are Great Tusk, Roaring Moon, and Iron Valiant. Everything else prominent in OU isn't a Paradox mon.

Rest of them are more niche.

Iron Moth is maybe an exception, but it doesn't get Quiver Dance and thus has less of a niche than Volcarona.

Smogon does bans because having overpowered Pokémon in a format lowers diversity in options and team building. Overpowered mons means that tiers become either the overpowered strategy involving that mon, or the few defensive counterplay that can handle it. Balanced playstyles as a whole disappear.

Ironically there's less stall in competitive without overpowered Pokémon than with overpowered Pokémon. Just look at the earlier generations which are all about what defensive Normal type can handle the offensive Normal-type, or VGC where one of the top mons is Shedinja because it is immune to all of Zacian's common attacks.

I'm more suprised whenever there are not mons somewhere. I mean, they really are everywhere. Open your menu for a few seconds while you are in a narrow place like a mountain peak... suddenly surrounded by 15 mons. And even walls arent enough to stop them... they'll just spawn right in them and then end up stuck in them

Interesting to see your exploration progress. I personally ran headlong into high level areas before I was even close to ready just because I wanted to know what was there

i said in some hill in the west till i was way too high level then ran to story points when my pokemon stopped listening to me

That happened to me with team star, generally I did gyms when I found them but I accidentally left team star for too long and stomped all but Eri
