People need to start voting with their wallet and that is how capitalism works. I've seen countless brainlets criticize the games to hell and back but they still preorder both copies and those are the kind of people I say that to because they are the ones that enable gamefreak to pump out shovelware each year

Though deflecting criticism by saying that is quite the stupid thing to do

I did this with SwSh, I was so annoyed by Dexit initially that I waited until I could get it second-hand, the only time I've ever waited for a Pokémon game. 😅

It's more practical, yes, but I have numerous problems:

• HOME being triple the price of Bank. This is the biggest issue, actually. Now your Pokémon can't just chill in a game, they specifically have to be part of a quite expensive paid service. Bank's £5 a year was negligible, £15 is still overall small, but for what it is then it's robbery.
• The whole animations/models argument that we all know is blatantly untrue. Battle Revolution has more dynamic animations and better looking models (not in terms of polygons, but colours and such, more of an art direction issue) and it came out in 2007.
• Balance. SwSh introduced broken Pokémon (Dracovish, Zacian, etc.) and Dynamax, a mechanic Smogon literally banned because it's broken and not fun.
• "Gotta Catch 'em All" is something you can no longer do in each game. Digimon uses a rotating roster and this is fine because it never explicitly advertised a slogan like this to such an extent that it's associated with the brand decades later (even coming back for a while during the XY period).

All of these outweigh the decisions to do Dexit at that specific change of time. Let's Go was meant to be an isolated incident (and Masuda said as much before SwSh came out), not the direction the franchise would head in permanently. 😦

While I don't agree with what companies like EA or GameFreak do, it's just become the new game development culture. The companies wanna make money, so they want their staff to bring out a game as quick as they can. Of course there's companies that don't do this, but the best we, as the enjoyers of the work the devs put into the games, can do is to just make their voices heard and their problems heard by talking about it and bringing attention to it.

Thing is, unfortunately, that there's always gonna be way more people who will buy it when it comes to, what is essentially, a children's game.
So trying to cut their sales will not help. And judging from games that have been boycott, I don't think companies who pressure their employees that bad will care much about a game not selling as well, because they'll keep on doing it. EA is a huge example of this. The only time they remove their gambling is when a country doesn't allow it. Or they'll just not sell it there. So imo it's not worth letting the devs suffer in a financial way on top of the pressure companies like GF put on them.

That's the only way I see that title making sense when the creation trio are all dragons

And Zygarde probably didn't come from it

So, maybe "Original Dragon" specifically means that the complete dragon of the Tao Trio is the singular ancestor of every dragon pokemon which isn't a legend or explicitly created by other means

It would make sense to me with Unova's seeming abundance of dragons, too

And I think it would put the Tao Trio in a more important spot?

Because, I love them, believe me, but Reshiram, Zekrom and Kyurem's story is currently pretty insular
