Pokémon Infinite Fusion has been in the making for a long while, and the final selection of Pokémon was done quite a while ago. adding more pokemon is limited to both how many can feasible function in the engine, but also in terms of finishing all the custom sprites

To add them to your game, simply copy all the files into your game's CustomBattlers folder. The pack also contains alts and things such as joke sprites and regional variants, which you can also add to your game if you wish.

You can swap between alts of a given fusion in-game, using the Pokédex!

PeepoThink I'm not sure where to ask this but I assume spritework is as good a place as any. Would it be possible that, if I was working on custom overworld sprites for myself, I would be able extend the sprite sheet size for sprites to allow for a fake 'follower' pokemon that's just an extension of the overworld sprite? I noticed some overworld Pokemon take up multiple spaces, even if their hitbox doesn't.

This channel is mostly for general spriting questions, as well as opinions on sprites in progress, but the sprites do not necessarily exist already. Technically all sprites "exist" in the game but the majority are auto-genned sprites that can look pretty awful, but they were just added to make the game work right away, all sprites will be custom made eventually

but if a sprite is currently just the auto gen version, then the first custom one made for it will replace it for sure. After that, the main sprite voting polls are used to pick between any extra custom sprites made for that fusion by other people (the highest two rated losing sprites are also added as alts I believe)

🟡 Posts to the gallery have to be formatted for the game. They must be 288x288 px pngs (3x upscaled from 96x96) and must have the name headdexnumber.bodydexnumber (e.g. 25.1.png for a Pikachu/Bulbasaur). All PIF Pokémon past gen 2 have different dex numbers than normal, you can find those out on the wiki (https://infinitefusion.fandom.com/wiki/Pokédex), the calc (https://aegide.github.io/) or with the dex command (e.g dex pikachu/bulbasaur)

Most image editing software will do the job, but here are some commonly used examples:

Piskel: Beginner-friendly, easy to use, doesn't require a download. To resize cleanly, either export at a 3.0x scale using the slider, or click resize and set the width/height to 288x288 with "Resize canvas content" toggled. Link: piskelapp.com

Paint.Net: Intuitive and free, requires a download. To resize cleanly, go to Image > Resize, and turn Resampling to "Nearest Neighbour". Link: getpaint.net

MS Paint: Very simple to use, already installed on most PCs, doesn't support transparency so will need a second program to remove the background. Doesn't have layers. To resize cleanly, click the small option with two squares near the Select tool and resize via percentage to 300%. To downsize cleanly, use the pixels option.

GIMP: Free Photoshop alt, requires a download. Not very beginner-friendly, but useful once learned. To resize cleanly, go to Image > Scale Image, and turn Interpolation to "None" Link: gimp.org

Aseprite: Costs money and requires a download. Has certain advantages, but there is probably no need to pay for this when you are just starting out. Link: aseprite.org

PixelStudio: Fully featured mobile app, useful if you want to sprite from your phone.

Hey @sick badge! Are you trying to add more custom sprites to your game? You can find the most up to date sprite pack containing all custom sprites in #downloads! To add them to your game, simply copy all the files into your game's CustomBattlers folder. The pack also contains alts and things such as joke sprites and regional variants, which you can also add to your game if you wish.

You can swap between alts of a given fusion in-game, using the Pokédex!

Ok, so maybe this'll be a niche question, but I'm absolutely terrible at math, so...

I do my spriting in MS Paint and use Paint.net exclusively to remove the background color. If I have to resize a sprite by 300% to get it to IF size without distorting it, does anyone know what number I'd have to shrink it to in order to restore it to the original size?
