A lot of posture is around a movement like that due to it being intentionally forceful so the body would need to be into it. The non slapping arm would be moving backward so the slapping arm could go forward. With less posture the arm would need to be higher up (I would suggest holding your arm up to feel the difference between your pose and the "arm" I drew and feel how your shoulders move into it.

Hey @steel pecan! Are you trying to add more custom sprites to your game? You can find the most up to date sprite pack containing all custom sprites in #downloads! To add them to your game, simply copy all the files into your game's CustomBattlers folder. The pack also contains alts and things such as joke sprites and regional variants, which you can also add to your game if you wish.

You can swap between alts of a given fusion in-game, using the Pokédex!

As for the shading, gamefreak does make mistakes sometimes, so we don't always need to follow what they do as gospel. It's good to just follow the guidelines of top left light, etc, anyway, since those are the most common. Gotta know the rules before you break them

Also considered a mahogany color for the staff but decided on this off-grey to call back to the spoon and feel more icy. Hey @zealous oak! Are you trying to add more custom sprites to your game? You can find the most up to date sprite pack containing all custom sprites in #downloads! To add them to your game, simply copy all the files into your game's CustomBattlers folder. The pack also contains alts and things such as joke sprites and regional variants, which you can also add to your game if you wish.

You can swap between alts of a given fusion in-game, using the Pokédex!

The way I understand it, it makes the drawing not pixelly enough compared to the rest of the sprites

You can draw in 288x288 but it's really easy to accidentally mess up the fact each pixel is 3x3 at that scale

64. But my understanding is that rule is a little squishy.

The original gen 5 sprites typically have a pallet of 20-ish colors. The lowest I've encountered so far was Unown with about 5 colors, but most of the base sprites I've worked with have roughly 16-24 colors.

They should still be downloaded as alts, so they still should be in the sprite pack. You can change what your sprites look like by going to the entries in the pokedex.
