I even stated today that I felt it fitted, but if people were going to be vocal about it then I wondered if I was wrong, and so I decided not to be unfair by basing it only off of my judgement.
But I'm absolutely not going to try and do this again. Enter fish into the bird contest for all I care, I won't remove them.
I attempted to make it so that there was no chance that a non-reptile would be able to win. That was my only real goal, to have it such that I did not have to say "Here's the mammal that won the reptile competition". But I didn't want to cut anything at all, because why would I want to?
We've had these issues in the past. BTA felt that in both the Fantasy and Eeveelution competitions that many people had missed the point, but he couldn't just remove anything that did. So I was up front about it, and gave a warning saying "Hey if it's not a reptile, I won't include it".
But apparently that was a terrible way to do things, so I won't do it again.

@bright elk Yeah i know that i dont stand a chance, but it made me still sad to see it doesnt even surface in the contest. Especially since all other entries used only "original reptilian pokemon" to fuse with. And some of the other fusion look even less reptilian then mine, but they just came in, because they used a "reptilian pokemon" body. And it made me even more mad that people are arguing against it, just because the 2 fused pokemon are non reptilian... The rules to this contest were the endproduct should. I am fine with getting 0 Votes for him, but its really upsetting to be denied entry, even tho i got a go before hand. I was already aware of him being seen critical because there are no original reptilian pokemon in the fusion.

It's funny, I went from not liking themed competitions at all to preferring them over classic ones by a longshot. 😄

Themes are vague and allow a lot of variety in pokemon, classic ones 'limit' people. its hard getting everyone to agree to a single pokemon
I personally prefer a classic competition because it forces more creativity, and planning/thinking
whereas a lot of people might go with the first thing that comes to mind when they have a theme

I like classic competitons when it's a Pokémon I can work well with. I feel like my strength tends to be avians for some reason (looking back at my favourite fusions), so when it's not those I struggle, as was the case with reptiles where I got my arse handed to me. 😦

I feel like being able to remove something is a bit much power for a 3rd place. I have an idea, but it might be to complcated for something that really shouldnt be:
The first place and the 2nd place get to choose a subject, but the idea from the first place gets written down twice, to give it double the power. The 3rd place then gets to remove one subject, but if he chooses to remove a subject from a first place, it doesnt get compleatly removed but only loses half of its power so to speak. The subject of the first place is more likely to get choosen from the scared number generator too.
