• Large blocks of pixels from poor enlarging. (double pixels?);
• Blurriness;
• JPG artefacts;
• Stray pixels;
• Wrongly recolored areas;
• No shading;
• No black outlines;
• All black outlines;
• No outlines;
• Double outlines/staircasing;
• Has a bunch of similar, barely distinguishable colors;

❌ Sprites that are simple, a little rough around the edges or unconventional will NOT be edited. These include issues such as:

• Line colors being in the wrong places;
• Jagged lines;
• Pillow shading;
• Messy/misplaced shading;
• Anatomy issues;
• Pasted fusion parts not fitting quite right;
• Overuse of dithering;
• General ugliness;
• Oversized sprites;
• Using gen 3-style shading or outlines;
• Using gen 3 or gen 4 palettes;
• Using the body's color palette;
• Using the palettes from both halves of the fusion;
• Creating new shades or entirely new colors;

look, I know you are dying to know, but #1 I'm not sure if I can just post the guidelines here and #2 they are just guidelines for us as well. they aren't rules. They are there to give the judges a general idea of what can be a possible 2. But to give you a bit of peace, a 2 can still constitude for an "average" sprite. it is usually just held back by something like ikd shading for example in a way that a judge can't unsee how it would work better with that shading.
It is in the end all still very opinionated but if they thought your sprite was really really bad they would have given you lower scores. I think you even had a 6 in there right? That means someone thought it is above what gamefreak could make

Judges are expected to provide a comment when they give something a low score, so if you get one low score you can assume it's that judge, and if you get multiple low scores and not as many comments, you can assume that the judges shared opinions and didn't want to give multiples of the same note

I find that a lot of "Gamefreak sprites are bad" breaks down to "they had limitations we aren't acknowledging" or "we favour sprites in a different art style"

it just doesn't look good with how big the hue difference is because it's AAing two areas that have the same hue with each other

it's very blue comparing to both

and it's the only two pixels of that colour in the whole sprite so can't be colour count limitation because it's not reusing a colour

I spotted a single out of colour pixel on a rung in a background of a non pixel art game, weird colours are just what I see first

Unless I zoom right into it, I think that part of the linework actually looks good.
If I just use my phone to look at the three of them together - don't open the image - that looks like a really smooth line (and introduces a slight variety to the shadows)

I support the blue pixels, but it is very weird they don't come from the bluer part of the sprite

Which brings us to the other thing. Without viewing it on a GBA it's really hard to say how bad they actually look.
A lot of sprite funkyness looks really good on particular old screens

now that I think about it didn't a lot of the leaked not used mons have no black outlines as well

that just kinda feels like the sprite didn't get finished to proper outline colouration and would explain the blue pixels that look like they were meant to work as outline for the bluish body parts but just didn't get added there with the whole thing using darker green

definitely looks a lot softer next to the rest of the line with outline one outline colour

Yeah. Tbh it does feel a little like that colour was in more places, and then they missed those two pixels after they removed it from all the obvious locations

actually lombre wip is on that list and looking at the early version would explain why the outline around the beak and claws on the feet is green instead of red like on the fingers, they were originaly green and never recoloured after the change
